I just sent you that tune back with the timing we used in your last one so that should help , the dead peddle I will need that log though , on the regulator turn it all the way tight ( arrow pointing to "off" ) , then loosen it a turn at a time then test , go as far as you can until boost starts to drop then go back up just a hair.

thanks trent! ill give her a run after work (brought my computer to play with her). ill also throw the reg on. i only hit 40psi last night on the big tune but damn did it go from 40mph to 80mph quick! and so smooth too. The greatest part is how much quieter it is! i was gunna run my exhaust all the way out the back cause it resinated so bad in the cab at 70 but now its much nicer but still has that nice note to it :D

Awesome work James on gettin it done:thumb: Truck looks real mean and has the power to prove it. I had a few things to fine tune as well for a few days after but seems like you got most all figured out:coolspot: Get that reg. on and get that baby making some more boost!

Without derailing...

I removed my boost bleeder valve when I did the install and the stock wastegate is connected like stock. Trent sent a bleeder with the kit. Should I install that or do a regulator or ??. I've only hit 35 psi max but its time to start dialing her in.

Thanks kris! i love the truck all over again. the sound of that second turbo winding up and down is just cool. i have a feeling fuel mileage will be bad these first few tanks :D:D:D:D

If the bleeder has a little gauge on it and a little knob on top with two fittings (one on each side) thats the regulator we are talkin about. Id put it on as it cant hurt to see what you can get. jsut follow like trent told me and you ought to be good.

If you have trips on like Eric's new gismo will it be toned down some more like when you put twins on this truck? The exhaust noise sure is loud as hell with just one big turbo so this is just fun to follow and see what's noticed as they get done.

Im not sure i follow what your sayin

Just an update. I put he regulator in and WOW that woke her up even more! turned it one turn on teh 1st tune and hit 42 psi, turned it up twice and hit 47-49, turned the tune up to the third tune and hit 55psi in 4th. that was way too much for my likeing so i turned it down 3/4 of a turn and hit about 48-50. the smallest tune holds about 45psi now

All i got to say is this som-bitch is a freakin rocket now! i put it on the highest tune once and it broke the 37s loose at 30mph and i mean HARD loose to where i was sideways quick. i instantly turned it down, i highly doubt ill use that tune much lol. I even got to play with a tuned mustang a bit, on the third tune from a start i was spinnin mad and when it caught i had him by 60mph. he was not happy lol. oh and egts never got over 1150 :D:D

bad news is the little coolant hose that goes to the bottom of the turbo sprung a leak (pin hole leak) and is sprayin a tiny bit on the trubo. I knew it was bad and planned to change it this last weekend while doin the twins but time ran short. i have the hose sitting in the truck so ill fix it tomorrow.

I knew everyone talked about twins bein fast and giving all this power but i never thought it would make my big ass truck move like it does. it flat out feels like corvette! God i love these things :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

what kind of regulator are you talking that up turned up? in the lift pump?

its like a manual boost vavle. i just call it a regulator cause thats what trent calls it

thats awesome man :thumb: your making me jealous

thanks man! dont be too jealous, i have the ability now to bend a rod. Not something i want to do right now lol. I really cant wait to hook a trailer up and see what it will do egt and fuel mileage wise, that was my biggest reason for twins. it was either twins or 4.56 gears, i think i picked the better of the two

good job on the twins James. it just makes the truck a whole new driving experience. still love getting in and driving mine :). i took my buddy for a ride the other day and hes driven some fairly quick cars and owns a zo6 now and when i lit the 35's up from a 3rd gear roll his only response was "holy shit d00d!!!" i cruise around town all day long on the 2900 pw tune.

If only I knew from experience vice reading/seeing twin kits :( time to pony up that dough for your buddies lift

thats what i like to hear! :thumb: :D

and to add for an update. Pretty sure my MAF sensor is bad from what trent and i have gone over. truck feels dead when you first hit the go pedal off idle, then after 2-3 sec all of a sudden the power hits. Ordered one off fleabay, we will see how it works but for 65 bucks i couldnt help but try it lol

i left mine out. starts and drives fine on one battery but like tony said, you buy a battery relocation kit from GMpartsdirect and put it on the passenger frame rail

One battery isn't really an option for me because I don't think one would cold start the truck when I go snowmobiling in northern Maine at -25*F

well i know its not quite that cold in flagstaff but i had disconnected both batts to put my deck in and only hooked one back up (got in a rush and forgot to hook the other up). we hit 5 degrees that night with a high of 23 the next day and she still cranked over like normal all day till i popped the hood again to check some wiring and saw that lol.
