I used to run the PPE and a stock filter, but the stocker had to go for the triples. I added the CAT filters behind my PPE.
The only real thing I did differently was to put a bypass valve (that I normally keep closed) around the PPE pump in case the pump died while I was on the road (then I will just reach down and open the valve and I can get home on a smaller tune). My PPE will only hold about 2000 RPM before the CP3 starves and the truck falls on it's nose.
I have never had a problem, but I always worry about the lift pump in cold weather.
