It's finally been dry enough to play in the dirt. Got about 800 acres of corn planted in four days. He's my ride for this spring. Autosteer sure is nice :thumb: Plus being able to run a VT at 8mph feels like I'm flying!

I'm not a farmer I'm a welder but the majority of my work is done for farmers. Here is a set of saddle tanks I built for the new JD's with DPF and urea and front duals.

Mostly 9520. We hit almost everything with 9520 with a landoll vt and culimulcher and then a krause landstar and rolling basket with a 9330. Then plant it with a 8430 and 1790.

So i've missed this thread for awhile apparently from my reading/pic starring lol.

Here's what happened this spring....most uneventful and fastest paced spring we've had in awhile. All said and done, took us 4 short weeks to plant everything (god we need more equipment but more hours with less people is better for the overhead lol).

No real particular order, last two were my favorites though. Could post a million more pics but we've all seen seed tenders into planter pics lol.

Edit:...i need to post harvest pics sometime as well lol.

Got a chance to try out the new machine today. Like it so far. It is a little different than the L175 we had but after running it for a couple hours I'm getting used to it. I was also pleasantly surprised that it doesn't have a DPF. :D

Hope you like it.

CNH doesn't have one yet, not sure where the 225 falls horsepower wise and if they were going to be using one or not on it.

Got to demo a D series Cat the other day, probably replace our 262C2 sometime this year. Lots of nice changes on this series. Kubota motors now too.

Nothing under the cab and hoses are cleaned up a lot mroe.

Inside is sealed tighter, heater high back seat, electronic throttle (pedal turns into decel at full throttle) and some other little things that are nice. Bluetooth radio now too (this one didnt have it installed)

New advanced display with optional backup camera. Finally can program operators.

This isn't ours but I stopped up to pick up some decals and he just finished tinting the windows on this one. He does all the lettering and tint for our Fendt dealer. The tint is an option and extra but they put your farm name on when you buy one. Probably helps them keep them straight more than anything. Probably going to tint ours this year too. Honestly as much for at night as during the day, the glare is bad at night from how bright all of the lights are.The one in this picture was going to an all Deere farm, it was their first Fendt. More and more everyday.:woott:;)

Opticoated ours to see how well it would work, few months later now with winter roads and such the stuffs been great, a garden hose can usually get the stuff off the hood. Going to have to opti coat the rest of it now. It does help that Fendt uses a clear unlike most companies.

Working on Milk tankers.

Stumbled across these pics too. First one is very old, its from 2009 IIRC back when we had the Deere. The next video is of the Claas doing the same a couple years ago.

This isn't my picture but from a couple years ago, dealer was delivering it to a localish farmer.

Got my strobes on and working on the Fendt as well. Really bright Whelen M4's. Transistioning all of our stuff to running strobes versus hazards. Makes signals less confusing for cars. Have some that cancel strobes when we turn on a signal. I also put a lot of C2 DOT tap on stuff so you can actually see it. Mounted the rear ones with a deflector so they wouldn't flash in the cab. So annoying before with the flashers, you couldnt use the mirrors because all you saw was bright light.

I test drove an L225 at the dealer before we ordered this one and while I was running it, the display was flashing "DPF ON". We ordered the one we got since the dealer didn't have a machine spec'd the way we wanted it. Turns out the one we got is a 2014 L225 Canadian Edition and it is still Tier 3. I believe the Tier 4 L223, L225 and L230 have a DPF.

I like the built in backup camera on that Cat. I was thinking about installing a Cab Cam on ours just to try it out.

Those strobes look good and sure look bright.

Here's a thread on a guy who did on his L200 series.

What you plan on using yours for and how many hours per year? That series has really divided people. Some love them others hate them.

We use ours for handling bulk chemical totes, pallets of canola seed or innoculant and snow removal mainly. We bought our L175 it had 125 hours on it and when we traded it after running it for about 5 years it had 850 hours. So we won't be putting hours on like you are. I read many threads on skid steers and I saw the good and bad reviews from everyone but we decided we would try out the L200 series. We ordered it with self level for handling totes and pallets and it sure works nice for that. I also like that this one has a radio in it. :D

We have a few wireless Cab Cam systems that aren't being used in the winter since we usually use them on the combines, grain cart and grain truck so I could try them out while moving snow. Here's some pics of how they normally get used. I think they'd work great for a back up camera on the skid steer.

Unloading on the go and there is a monitor in the grain cart tractor and grain truck to see these images to making loading easier.

Also use it for back up camera on grain truck.
