Guys, really...why beat the hell out of it when you can just borrow one from a parts store... IIRC Steve Cole has a nice fan wrench....

I have used the correct tool and the chisel method. I like the chisel method better. Easier and a Turbo said id does not beat up the nut.

You are not beating the hell out of it. Not even close.

Seriously, it was a couple easy pops and it was loose. You only have to move it like 1/20 of a turn before you can spin it off by hand.

Hmmm Mine was heel to get off. Probably the New England Corrosion....That'd be much easier to take it off with something I have in my tool box...
