What color scheme should I paint the engine this time? Last run was rusted black and corroded aluminum with a smattering of grease and oil. (no paint)

Dark Blue and lots of Chrome would look good.

I really dig the orange. BUT Black block with (insert accent color of choice) for the accessories & such.
i agree Mitch , I like a black block , although I am thinking about powder coating my block this go round , even if black just so it holds up and stays looking good. But Green gets my vote

When Would be the "Ideal" time to powder coat your block? Before or after the machine work? Might be a dumb question but I would think after the cylinders are honed, bored, etc?
chrome! Its my favorite color and they sell it in a spray cans and rolls of tape

Always wanted to chrome the block. Don't know why.
Other plating options, like cadmium plating are also on the table.
