Even if it's not blocked I would let it be. Unless you plan on building the trans and going all out on the tuning it's probably not worth it. To remove it completely you have to replace the up pipe and change out the y bridge(or use the hsp style pipe that uses the factory y bridge). While not over complicated it is pretty time consuming if you have never done it before

So to clarify: leave everything as-is (motor/tune wise), but make sure the exhaust is buttoned up all the way down and get rid of the axle dump?

Hey guys, I found my exhaust leak!
Needless to say, I cut it and took the grinder to it. When I went to clamp it back together (temporarily until I can get it welded) I discovered that my exhaust hangers are so badly bent that the one in front of the axle would rub the driveline, so with 20 minutes to get across town for work, I just pulled the last exhaust piece off.

I don't sell exhaust systems, but I would rather see you try and buy from a site sponsor. They pay to help keep this site alive and here so you can use it for free.

I would rather buy from a site sponsor for that reason, but sadly, between a new truck payment, needing to do some hardcore maintenance on this truck, and paying for my wedding, my budget wins this one unless they’re looking to sponsor me.

You'd be surprised what retail price is on some exhausts.

I would? I’ve been looking at them. $325 on the low end from what I’ve seen.

Wasn’t trying to cut out anyone guys. I didn’t know if any of the site sponsors still were selling “off-road” systems. I worried about that when I posted about ebay.

No word back from Henry, but I fixed it for now. Just left it cut at the back of the cab and ordered a downturn tip from Amazon ($29). It wasn’t overly loud before (comforting growl), but I’ve noticed a significant reduction of noise in the cab due to the
tip now being 15” further back towards the rear axle and pointed down. It’s not my ideal setup, but it’ll have to do for the time being until I can afford to buy a full exhaust from a site sponsor.

I appreciate all the input! Y’all really are awesome!
