feedback so far seems to be negative towards a friday class... most people can't / don't want to miss an extra day of work - so hopefully we will get something worked out for a Saturday Sunday. In addition, it sounds like i might have things set up to go for Saturday Sunday in Connecticut... about the same time. However, i need to work more details out on that one. At this point I have 2 other options in the general vicinity that i'm checking out too... one way or the other, my goal is to have a class location and date locked down by the end of this week. Goal will also be to make it Saturday Sunday.

Thanks

Anything new?

Sorry guys - Last week i ended up in the hospital on Firday again for surgery - this time pretty minor, but still ended up costing me a couple days of time between the surgery and recovery.

That being said - the Pennsylvania class most likely is NOT going to work out, however I have a facility in MA called Mass Diesel that will work that i just worked out some details with Tuesday of this week - and I also have 2 more facilities - one in RI and one in CT that i'm going to be calling this morning. The problem with the PA class is that the shop is only available for one day, which doesn't really work for the class - unless we try Friday and many people told me Friday wouldn't work for them so.....

It appears multiple shops have seen/heard about the interest on the East coast though. I have these two locations as well as 2 more i've been PM'd about as options so - I think by tomorrow i'll have details worked out and posted!!

i do apologize for the sudden drop from the forum last week. Found out Tuesday and had a LOT of orders to try and catch up on and then babysitters and everything else to line up. That was 2 surgeries in June trying to get rid of the stupid infection the damn doctors ignored after my open heart clear back in February. Now they're just carving me up a piece at a time to get rid of it. UG! Anyways - things are under control and they got the medicines "right" this time so a couple more weeks and i'll headed to the race track to see what the new motor in the dually can do :)

If you have questions or concerns about any of this, PLEASE let me know. I'm pretty open about things and what I have going on. I might be a little slow at getting the answers, but I don't want anyone with concerns not to present them, public or private... :woott:

As a final note, I am going to find TWO facilities to do classes at, if possible, along the east coast on back to back weekends - just trying to spread the distance between them out a little (north to south) so that everyone has a closer opportunity...

For now, i'm headed to make some calls. Just wanted to address this!

So as of now, RI is out (due to scheduling) until probably January.

Scott @ Mass Diesel is in, but it's early September - the weekend after Labor Day. I haven't decided if that weekend will be a good one or not. It's all he's got and might have to work. Any input on this one from you guys?

Finally - waiting for Mike from J&M in CT to call me back. He is interested too, but he's got to go over his calendar. I am still hoping for later in September for these classes - but might have to get an earlier start!

Thanks for the patience!

Have you contacted DGR Racing in Dilesburg Pa? 1-717-502-8880 is the number. Thats where they have a Spring Fling and Fall Brawl Dyno Days. I know they are open on Saturday and Sunday for those events. Help that may help.

I will be calling them in the morning. I have a couple call backs i'm waiting on from the other facilities mentioned above so things will start falling into line very shortly. I'm excited to be getting these on track!

Thank you everyone for your patience with me. Things have just been rough for me with all the medical garbage the last month - mostly in terms of time - it has ate up whole days to get simple issues handled. I know that's not fair to you guys, but most of what's been going on was a neccesity for me to get handled. I'm making up the time as quickly as I am able though and look forward to meeting many of you in the next couple of months! Details / Dates / Times to come shortly!!

-->Zach

Good news! At least in part.... i have successfully secured the location and dates for the EFILive training class on the east coast.

J&M Motorsports in Manchester, CT has agreed to hold a class in their facility on the 29th and 30th of September. The dates are set, but there are some finer points to work out with Mike from J&M before I put the links on the website for sign-ups.

J&M motorsports is not a diesel performance shop per se, but my classes aren't about selling a bunch of parts - it is about EFILive instruciton, and J&M has an interest in learning the diesel side of EFILive tuning as well - so this is a good match, and the facility has everything on site (dyno, classroom environment, etc.) That being said - the classrom size is only going to accomodate about 15 people plus the couple that will be sitting in from J&M.

I am still looking into three additional facilities further south (one more inland - at Bean's Diesel) and trying to get something lined up the weekend before (22nd-23rd) as i've had a bunch of interest up and down the east coast and want to make the trip as accomodating as possible for those you wanting to attend. I will keep everyone posted on that as I am able to get it resolved!

One clas is on for sure! I will announce how to sign up as soon as i finish figuring costs and get the finer points worked out with Mike.

Thanks for your patience guys! Hopefully this is some welcome news!

WOW!

Looks like today is my lucky day! I just got confirmation from another shop that we are a go for the 22nd and 23rd class as well. That class will take place in North Carolina. I have been trying to find a location further south but still on the easy coast because i have had many from Floride, Georgia, etc all hitting me up to come out that way as well - so hopefully between these two locations, things will work.

The first weekend class will be held September 22-23, at Rudy's Diesel in Durham, NC. The second class will be in CT at J&M motorsports as mentioned in my previous post...

So - be watching for the update later this week when i get the links up on my site for each of these. I will also be posting these in the usual places - so if anyone has any reservations about either of these places, please let me know. I'm doing my best to accomodate and cover a pretty diverse area for people. Hopefully it works out well!

Finally - both classes will be covering GM and Cummins... more time spent on the Dmax though simply because, overall, they are more complicated to cover.

Woot! thanks again for everyone's patience

Couldn't swing it. The Greencastle class could only be a Saturday class, which would have only been a basics class. PA was the ideal location, I just couldn't get anything to come together, so that left CT or MA. CT being the closer choice, and having the right dates (so as to not mess with the Diesel event happening on the 15th in NJ seemed to be about as close as i could work out.

I have called and left messages twice with DGR and no responses from them, and didn't want to postpone any longer with all the delays i've already had getting to this point - so I chose to go ahead with it. In the mean time the ones further south worked out and still remained on the coast instead of going inland, so I counted that as a small victory as well given the interest levels.

I was trying to cover a pretty broad range without making it a 500 mile drive for anyone... So i'm hoping this works out good enough for everyone that wanted to come! Where both facilities are limited on the number we can comfortably fit - it just means there will be more time to cover more information for those that do show up. Each class will be capped at about 15 people.

You guys on here are getting the heads up about the class and locations - I probably won't be posting elsewhere until next week - so please voice any questions or concerns so I can try to address them!

Thanks

-->Zach

Where in PA are you specifically?? I had things mapped out where i was figuring it was only about 300-350 miles or so away from where the first PA class was going to be held if it could have worked out. Going to either class from Green castle is just a little over 300 miles - or a 5 hour trip. I the best planning I could while trying to make sure any driving was as reasonable as i could make it.

Perhaps the GDR guys will call me back and we can set something up further down the line or in the winter months - but as of now the only PA facility I could find was only willing to allow a Saturday class, or a Friday / Saturday class which didn't seem to really work for more than 1 or 2 people. Sorry guys! I will try and get something workd out for the next round - this is just all I could come up with that was realistic and would allow me to come do a good job for those that attend.

I located about an hour away from Greencastle. During the summer it's hard for me to take two days. Esp a friday and saturday. The winter months would work out alot better if that was the case. Its no biggie tho that there isnt a pa class. Just hope there will be down the road. :thumb:

I will have things ready for you to sign up for either class by end of the weekend. Trying to make sure of a couple of smaller details and finding out my costs for the trip.... I am quite looking forward to the trip - just need to get some smaller details ironed out so there's no snags...

OK

here is the link to sign up for the CT classes. I don't have all the details ironed out good enough on the class at Rudy's in NC - right now it's looking like we might move that class up 1 week earlier to avoid the scheduling conflicts - which would make that class (at Rudy's) be on the 15-16th of September...

Anyways - for the class at J&M motorsports, in Manchester CT - here is the link to sign up! There are only 16 total spots due to the size of the classroom area we have - and some of those are already taken.
