There's a lot of very good tuners man. It's all about who you feel comfortable dealing with. Do some research and find some tuners and give them a call. I've spoken with quite a few of them and they are all outstanding guys. You just need to find one that you trust your truck with.

It's always best to find a tuner that can sit.in the truck and do.the tuning firsthand. That way if you need something changed ,they can do it right there, its always a pain to be calling your tuner and have him change anything then loading the tune.... You get what I'm saying

You would be the best tuner! No one can tune your truck better than a person that drives it every day;) People have lost site of what EFI is!

As TeaBagger posted they should sit in the truck and tune it ....That is BEST

find some one close IMO

off the shelf if your going to call some one i would call EPR if he will do it or Josh H he is a excelent tuner but he is a in the truck tuner so you would need to be close.

From what ive personally seen is that ATP sends tunes that are GOOD but not truck specific EG: if you have a truck with 60 overs and this turbo combo you get this tune.....

This doesnt always work, as every truck is different and runs at different elevations and has different dutys

A truck that is used for work and towing is WAY different than a truck that runs down the track.

Track tunes are easy to build DD tunes require way more work.....this is why you would be the best tuner for your truck JMO

As much as I like my tunes from Rob @ ATP and despite how good they run and drive I think I'm gonna try a different tuner. My main reason is I want to be able to talk to the guy tuning my truck. Not have my description of what I want done relayed to him by a 3rd party. So Bobo will most likely be my next tuner. :thumb:

my truck is deff a daily driver/work truck. living up in new england dosnt make it easy to find a good diesel place to go! thats why im not sure if im better off staying with my ppe tuner. And like you guys said its better to have someone sit with you id really like to do that. like i said in my original question im no where near expearanced enough to do my own tuneing.

Most of the EFI tuners can do better than the ppe.

Most anybody can do better than a PPE tuner I believe. I tried out a few of there tunes, and was disapointed to say the least. They were just way to smoky for me. I would go see Tony down in CT if it was my decision to make in your position.

I think the closest tuner to you is Ben from BT Dieselworks. He is a vendor on this site. His name on this site and many others is Duratothemax. Maybe give him a call and see what he can do for you?

I've never had any issues with email tuners and I've used several, Bob bein the latest. Very happy with the tune so far. He's readily available and has been more proactive than most in making sure I got what I want.

Any way you go with EFI Live it'll be better than PPE........

Well the question is what is your plan? Are you just gonna put a tune in it and roll? or are you gonna want to play with it? If you will want to play, get a v2. Otherwise autocal, or if your tuner is local, just let them flash your truck.
