Any idea why the Edelbrock exhaust ports flow so terribly at less than .300 lift? It's pure garbage down low. Almost half of what stock flows.

I do not, I do know there are some casting flaws that are definitely hurting flow. When I disassemble them to clean up the ports and bowls I will try and get some pictures of them.

I would say it’s port shape or size myself.

I opened up the exhaust ports a little to gasket match the exhaust gasket.

Zak, when do you think you will run them on the flow bench to see if/where the gains were made?

Removed some of the casting bump in the intake ports and radiused the inlet some. It’s by no means a professional port job, I just wanted to clean up the bowls and blend areas to flow a little better.

I will not be putting them back on the flow bench. Heads are bolted back on the motor already. I want to get motor back in the truck and get it finished up so I can move on to another project that got pushed back because of this truck...
