I guess your just that out of the loop of mainstream racing, I put John Robinson on the trainer 1st round at an NHRA National event last year. The first time in history two diesels have paired off in a National event mainstream world. It does not matter how fast " wind up toys" go, if they can not compete in the sport of drag racing.

The people that need the data have that data , I use a zero correction factor. Correction factors are not appropriate in any boosted application. but the people that live on those over inflated corrected dyno spikes need them

another fares is the 1 or 2 hundredths of a second spike that contains the big dyno numbers you see everyone bragging about . I have been using dyno's for 30 years , Trick bagging a dyno is easy , using it to learn something is the only use for a dyno.

on a chassis dyno start from a idle and in over drive will tell you the real story .

This motor is obviously a nitrous motor so to make power on fuel only was a interesting fact I wanted to share.

the pull was cut short when the belt kicked off but the motor was accelerating at 1288 rpms per second

The words you put in people's mouths are amazing (or in this case, post), all to make your over inflated ego grow exponentially.

The video looks great though, glad you have the coin to pay the banks boys to put their retired car back on the dyno, make a run or two, then pay them enough to call the car your own lmao

You mean when he gave you a 1/8mi head start? You know dang well his car runs with the big boys.

how did I get a head start , the tree came down the same for both of us . This was a NHRA national event , He had two camera crews on the starting line to record him winning. Huge turbo's make killer power in sled pulling but on a Pro Tree they are useless. I had a .063 light with .040 delay in my box to keep from going red. He was 1.850 on the tree. In a heads up race on a pro tree, if he ran 6.70 it would only take a 8.50 to turn on the win light.
I had the car set up to run as close to 8.90 as possible. I looked back after 1-2 gear change , about 100 feet and he was still on the line. I didn't want to run to fast as I did the next round so I lifted at the 1/8 mile.

I got to race 2nd round in front of the night qualifying crowd . I went 8.70 second round fuel only , and lifted at 1000 ft.

if you look at the picture in my signature this was beside John on that pass

I am in to turning on the win light , this is the sport of drag racing.

Wow!

Greg, you lie to your friends and I will lie to mine but let's not lie to each other! You know better than him having a 1.85 reaction time. Lol

that was exactly what it was , I'll dig up the time slip. He just set and spooled , NHRA auto start is not friendly to big turbo's. This is the sport of drag racing , not trying to impress people with a qualifying time , which can never be duplicated in real racing .

here it is

my throttle stop came on 1.5 in to the run until 2.5 where we chopped the throttle to 35 % . I dumped just before the 1/8

here is the second round using the stop at Dallas , and yes I was dead late on the tree , still converting over from Comp and Super stock full tree to Pro Tree

I thought we had already been over this...trapping 161mph at 1950lbs is barely 600hp. You almost could make a stock everything dmax motor do that in a 1950lb something.

I have spent 3 years trying to make the ECD 16 ECM work, two of the best EFI live tuners tried . , it's just will not work with the acceleration rates and RPM I need to make my engine combination work. At 1900 lbs the car requires a lot different power then from a heavy truck

The aftermarket route fixes 100% of the problems with the car. I went directly to EFI live and they said they were a year or so out on this kind of stand a lone tuning , They suggested I go to either borsch motorsports or Nira until them.

I now have some of the best people on this program , Exergy engineers answered the questions I have been asking for years in the first 30 min conversation.

I have one of the best tuners out there on stand a lone systems in 3 pulls on the dyno we were at a 1000 hp and climbing like crazy before the belt problem, This motor will make peak power in mid 5000 rpm range and carry that power high in the 6000 range

my new motor is ultra light 67 lbs. of rotating weight removed from flywheel to harmonic balancer . My current motor is 57 lbs lighter

Not sure how that relates to anything in this thread so far..

sure keep thinking that , so 1950 lbs how much power to run 4.72 @ 141

I made 987hp with the dumbass LMM ECM with a "rod" only engine. Your rate of excelleration talk is BS. These trucks might not go down the track at the same rate but they do on the dyno with no problems.

Mid 700's on mph and mid 800's on ET. Keep trying to reinvent the wheel, seems to be working great so far

don't know what power to speed your using , but I know that a 1900 lbs Super comp dragster with a 565 BBC need around 1050 to run that fast.

I expect that this combo will dyno over 1500 in the next week, time to turn on the nitrous.
oh , ill be on MotorTrend / Auto World radio again tomorrow , I was on there last weekend with my good friend The Professor Warren Johnson as my guest.
