He pulled against haisley, scheme, etc at that Stanford pull I mentioned above. I can't remember the outcome but a 2.8 truck won the 3.0 class that night. :D it was the hailen (sp?) truck IIRC. stout!

Anybody got the numbers it was making? I heard rumors of some... kinda dissapointing that it came apart at that level if they were true, they really didnt seem like 3.0 numbers either, ive heard of haisleys 2.6's making more. But then again i do know that dynos are only good for tuning.

I think the problem lies when the tractor engine builders think they can go big cubes with a 5.9 block... they forget the head they're dealing with.

Halliens truck is stout! With a 3.0 charger i gaurantee it makes the same power most of them trucks make, probably more than some of them when it has a 2.6 charger on.

ESPECIALLY a 2.6 legal charger last year that could, and did often times (don't know if adam's did though), literally had a WASHER with a 2.6" opening in it welded to the front of the compressor inlet. BUT, that was legal by the [modified/accepted] rules.

And THAT is the kind of stuff they were looking to eliminate with protrusion rules and such. The folks on the internet just thought it was to lower HP, and I assure you, a protrusion charger from this year will make less than the same one last year that had nothing more than a washer for a bushing restricting it's flow. But overall average HP is probably up this year because EVERYBODY had to go to custom chargers to fit the rules for this year. :D

Sorry, that's completely off topic. Just thought I'd chew the fat a lil bit. The pull got cancelled tonight that I was only minutes away from so I'm a bit pent up.

I hear ya, i hope protrusion stays for a bit. Power is def up, i know it is for me anyways, after one pull my axles were twisted a complete revolution, it took all year to twist mine last year, and they were twisted this bad, i also sheared off all the bolts. Protrusion might not lower hp, but it does make it harder to light huge chargers... luckily us duramaxes can still light pretty big ones.:D

Roger that.

I think that's why Jon Jon is going to be HARD to handle this year in that Hulk truck and Evan Davis too - ZF6. They should be able to light insane turbos leaving at considerably higher RPM than any auto truck can.

It'll be interesting for sure.

A couple things guys:

The motor is only 30 over. I wouldn't call that big cubes.

At Stanford it had a broken injector line. It still may have lost to Halien though.:D

The truck didn't do too bad not dialed in yet and for a kid driving it that had never hooked to a sled before he got in this truck and has now made about 5 total passes. He daily drives a 4Bt Ranger for cryin out loud.:woott:

And yes I'm defending this truck for obvious reasons.
