Very nice! Are you keeping the front seats out of the SS? I've been looking for a set.
YEs, the interior is mostly stock and super clean so I am keeping it that way. This was actually a leather truck, and being my third TBSS Project, Ive had the leather in the last one and wasnt impressed, so I got a full cloth set of seats in this instead, but still has all the other 3SS Options like RSE, Moonroof, etc.

Sweet project, but I have to ask b/c nobody else seemed to notice....whats the deal with that OEM oil pan? Ive never seen one with that "extension" on it. Was the donor truck an 01?

Looks like a Kodiak pan to me

Bingo, as a stock pan would have caused even more challenges with the rear sump pan. Using the kodiAk pan let us move everything to the front where we had room to work I like in the rear where the racks are located on the trailblazers. If they had a front rack like most cars, we would have used the OEM truck pan not the kodiAk pan.

Ill figure it out and fix it.....Why do they disable editing on this site....I would fix the original post, but I cant edit it....Never understand the forums that dont allow the people who make the post...to edit the post. Makes no sense to me.

In the mean time, this link will allow people to look at all the photos I have loaded in the build folder on amazon photos. No clue why my links are all broken, but Im not pleased about it. Going to have to host them somewhere else as the last place I used to use the links worked for like 10 years until I ran out of free storage. so now I dont use it any longer. No clue why amazon would make it so difficult to link hosted pics.

Sounds like that Amazon hosting isnt all its cracked up to be. Just use good old Photobucket. Ive put some back in. Will work on it later when I have some time. Might also want to downsize those pics a bit. Thats a lot of f-ing pictures. Geezus.

As to the "no edit" after however long, there were very good reasons for it, long before you joined here.

Can I ask why you didnt just try to retrofit a hydroboost unit instead of cutting up the brake booster?

Editing and deleting a post expires here after about 48 hrs or some where around there, Dieselplace editing expires in about 30 minutes.

I use tinypic.com for most of my picture posting and some are still active for several years without an account, don't care much for certain active X controls on websites running my computer.

The no editing thing is mainly for when people twist off or act like a-holes. The site owners didn't want people to be able to go back and change the original context and cover their tracks so to speak.

The pics are all sized at 1024pixels for uniformity....I could have left them at the 3K they were taken at? And theres a lot because I put it all in one post to start with...which now is pointless because the typing doesnt match up with the pics I had and Im not redoing it if I cant edit a pic. And ADMINS can see orginal posts, so if someone is being a JAckass, its easy to show it on VB...Or it was in the past. so not allowing editing only hurts really more so than help. Theres always an ass out there.
BTW....How are you repairing the links...so I know how to make them not disappear if I post new ones? TIA

And Booster...do you think Im leaving it like that...lmao....C'mon man.
We did that so we could get the motor in and still move the truck around with brakes without cracking the system open. It is getting a hydroboost setup and will bolt right up, we already looked into it before we started the project. Now, the accumulator might be a tight squeeze, and Im hoping it clears the VC....Or I might end up with a custom VC too because that would be easier than moving or modifying the HyBoost setup.

LBZ-LMM/4L85 would probably be easier transmission related swap.

How so....Im not against the 4l85, but its a harder piece to find really than a typical allison, and I wanted a trans that I couldnt break. This one should be nearly indestructible in a sub 5K pound brick built to a level 5 basically with a lot of converter. I just started out with a Dmax/Allison combo in my head, and the more people told me it wouldnt work or fit, the more I wanted to prove them wrong....and here we are today, fits almost perfect with minimal to no modification. Were gonna use all the Dmax electronics and marry it to the TBSS fuse block and harness so that it works just like it was there from the factory, gauges and all. :woott:
