Duramax race van project

We've been making progress on the race van, and I thought I would post up a few pictures I've taken along the way. Nothing super exciting, but at least it's getting done. There really isn't a ton of stuff we have to do to have it ready to race. I feel pretty good about having it ready for the race in Ennis next month.

Yeah, I'm pretty anxious to see what it will do. Hopefully it will run well enough to be competitive in the 11.90 class. I think the first time on the track will be the TnT Friday night before the race.

We were going to swap the motor and transmission out of the van and put it into a small pickup, but we decided it would be more fun (not to mention cheaper and easier to get going this year) to race the van in the 11.90 index class. We might swap it into something else over the winter, but if we do, it will probably be something that can be driven on the street.
