Duramax in a Ford...

Yeah, it happened.

When I was 15 I bought a 1996 F-250 ext. cab long bed Zf5 7.3 PowerStroke.. long story short drove and pulled and modified it up until I was 18 then tore it apart to build a hot street strong pulling truck... needless to say it sat for around 4 years apart. As things advanced and times changed and I did other things in the aftermarket diesel industry I knew I need to do something way different and wanted something that ran good. So here we are a year later the "Dirty Secret" was built and running... A 1996 F-250 with a 05 LLY, ZF6, 271 transfer case truck with dodge Dana 60 in front and a Dodge Dana 80 in the rear.

This was built as a pulling truck only. It ran ALL this year with a 100% stock bottom end headstuds only. Big fuel,Big turbo. and surprisingly still runs, Granted the motor for next year is now being built and this one is going into a "workstock" truck build..

I remember seeing an EXCURSION a few years back on EBAY with a LB7 in it, so it has been done before. It's funny how you hear of DURAMAX's and CUMMIN's making it into everything else, but you rarely if ever hear of a POWERSTROKE making it into anything but a FORD or a shop.

I know you've talked of the Excursion before but have never seen it. I also know of a Superduty out of Ohio that has a duramax in it I know Mark has done stuff to and I think he tunes it.

First conversion I've ever seen done besides the project at ATS, but I don't think that ever got finished. Truck looks awesome and I bet a few people with keen hearing will be turning their heads at the pulls!

The frame is like a wet noodle when it pulls. He's local to me. Nice guy and the truck runs well.

It's fun seeing the look on spectators faces when that Ford pulls.

I wish someone would do a Duramax powered cummins. Guy local here has a 03+ 3500 Crew Cab dually minus motor for $3500. Perfect swap candidate to stir up the dodge guys.

About a hour and a half north east of kokomo... I've ran all over the state pulling, my truck sits down by Huntington in a shop there. Always enjoy talking trucks if you ever see me out and about be sure to swing by and say hey its nice to put faces to screen names! I know danny leslie is down your way I think? I know hes seen it.

Hey bud! Yes this truck is a sweet ride for sure and it's the best way to get a Ford down the track competitively! Truck runs good! I have a guy in Ohio with the 01 Super Duty body with an LB7 in it and it's a runner in the 2.6 class. I'm with you on doing a Dmax in a dodge truck, lol!
