Been looking around and can't find exactally what I'm looking for. What all exactally goes into the Duraflite. I know it's a 47re based trans but what's all involved in it? Does it still use 47re clutches? What's shafts, torque converter, ect..

I know it is. 1500+ hp truck that still might be driven on the street sometimes. Crewcab short bed full weight. Was told if I really wanted to I could build my own version of the trans. And yeah I know it's be a pain in the ass, it's prolly not worth it. But I want to. I'm sure SunCoast has the stuff to do it

Have you spoken to Suncoast? I don't really see the point of a Duraflite, if you're building a competition only truck there are better options and If it's a street truck the Allison is the only way to go. The only exception is running something physically smaller because of space limitations.

It's a play toy pretty much. To be honest it's a total waste of money and will prolly sit around most of the time. Never gonna pull it. Sunday drive kind of street driving. Not a daily back and forth to work kind of thing and maybe a few drag strip passes. I'm not looking for drama here and I'm not going to instigate it either lol I'm jus asking a question. You asked what my goal is. My goal is that I'm looking for 1500+ and if I WANT to drive it on the street I still want to be somewhat able too. That's the Goal. So I'm not exactaly sure what anybody wants proof of?

I'm jus tossing around the idea of weather or not it is something I could build or not. I know it's prolly more worth it to jus buy one. Also kinda tossing around the idea of a manual valve body but I've never ran one and i dont know at all weather it would be worth it or not

That this a real truck that is being built and youre not just some kid talking out of your ass. Most folks that do a build like this dont usually post on forums for advice. They talk with reputable shops with experience, make their decisions based on that info, then post up a thread saying "look at my badass truck, this is whats done and this is how it runs."

I'm not asking for advice. I'm asking for somebody that knows about the Duraflite to share some knowledge about what is involved with it. IVe only ever really felt with fords and a few cummins so this is my first Duramax. ITs been in the works for a few months now jus planning everything out. Have a lot of what I need, have a lot of parts I built myself. (And not jus slapped together) I've talked to plenty of reputable people about their input and experience with similar setups and honestly the only person that told me that I will work and didn't try to get me to change my mind was mark@danville. I have every bit of respect for that guy for that too. He knows exactally what my plans are and he had a lot of input on what's actually going to happen. He will also be tuning the truck. He pretty much made the decision on the fuel side and I value his advice which is why I'm taking it. It will be an s480 with a 1.10 t4 housing and an 87mm turbine in the valley (which I am getting from him) with two s472's with the .90a/r t4 87mm turbines as well. Dual cp3's and most likely 250% overs. He suggested I wouldn't need that much fuel but it will be an advantage to ease the tuning a little bit cause there will be room to work with. I'm undecided about the Pistons I want to use but the bottom end will be fully built, everything will be fully studded with billit caps and a girdle and I'm leaning towards the So Cal 9100 AF cam. Heads will be ported by a friend of mine with a flow bench, oversized valves will be installed with valve springs and pushrods. Many other details and little things involved as well
