The charts say that a set of 8 .038 flow the same as 1 .106. That is the reason we use a flowbench , to find out what its really doing . Thru a .127 solenoids , the distribution bar and lines.

Ok , i will start a thread on nitrous. I will show the good , the , bad , and the really ugly.

Please don't.

The charts don't lie. If you think you're flowing X through your setup with all your restrictions, then fine. Technically, that probably could be the most accurate way using a flow bench.

But everyone's setup is different so when people talk size, they don't give a shit about the rest of the system because there are too many variables.

In summary, 8 x 0.038 = what the chart says and done. No need to start another shit storm.

There are a lot of good racers in Australia that want a winter place to race. These 400 inch motor makes 1200 + hp and there is a lot of them filtering in to NHRA comp classes and setting records and killing index.

There are a lot of racers in America that have the money and the ability to run NHRA 500 Pro Stock , but can not be away from their business for 24 events plus testing a year. This will be a maximum of 12 to 14 points earning events possible pun in NMCA, PDRA and in competition eliminator

The fans are hungry for a wheels up stock car class

The American Manufactor is looking for a place to run their COPO , Drag Pack and Cobra Jet cars . If your an accomplished SS or Stock racer, you only have to wish to have the big 3 give you a car,

Those are the givens

so here is the class I propose, I've been on the phone about this , and there is a lot of people interested , to include a few from the OEM

1. COPO, Drag Pack , Cobra Jet type Super stock chassis .
2 400 inch NA small block Fuel injected of carbureted Austrian rules engine .
3 5 speed stick
4 2850 , to 3000 weight , not sure how much these chassis weigh.
5 any brand fuel injection ECM allow Traction control . this will keep it easy to police .

I believe that these cars will run low 7 second passes .

At 2850 to 3000 lbs in a SS type chassis they would be lucky to run 7.60's...

X 100000

Bob Book and I and I know others have been testing back and forth about the 400" inch project for some time now. I think it will be a great idea! Don't come on here and tell us what you think and what you are proposing. Quit coming on here and trying to make people think you are in the know or that you are part of something that you are not. It's funny how I talk to people out at the race track like the Laughlin's, McGaga's and the guys from WJ that you are supposedly right in the mix of things. I'll spare you what they all have to say.....

Thank you for posting pics Greg, and for your explanitory efforts. I wish we could get inside that head of yours Greg...I've said it before, I can tell you've got passion for this sport and I respect the time you have into it...I really think youve got some serious ADHD buddy, and can't get your thoughts out fast or clearly enough, in this internet arena.

Despite all the BS and the fact we typically can't tell if you're comin or going, I know there's reason behind your process, I hope to see you achieve your goals, man, truly...

Although, you will be impossible to live with at that point and your ego just might crash the server:spit:

Ha-ha

if you only knew .

The funny part is when I first got on the forums 10 + years, its was at Dr Performance. I made any account and would read what was being said . I found out 6 months later that Doc and friends were posting under my name. The tone was set and I never expected to be doing this for long . I was pushed in to doing that truck by the guy that owned my comp car. His belief was they would give up , and he would trade for the little truck and we would run it in comp with a gas motor I was just waiting for enough funding to get my V6 program faster after we lost 2 tenths of index , because of a dumb ass airing his D/ED out in Florida. the 2 tenths were going to cost about $30,000 to get the motors up there , new heads intake and pistons

I started having fun and here we are .....

As to Ego , its not really ego, I have done this for years with help, and funding from a wide range of people. These people expect results in market penetration. What a lot don't understand is Marketing ands publicity are driven by many different things. The track performance just one of them.

What I do is different , but it works. Brady at II once told me during the great CP3 pump wars 6 or 7 years ago that people would call him up and bitch about me and then give him their CC number.

I'm a racer , but I like to put thought and ingenuity in to what I am doing. I could have done what everyone else was doing and been to the track a long time ago . BUT.... If I was not at the top of the game , I would not play . running mid 7's in this light of a car is not hard , I was shooting for mid 6's .

as far as spelling an grammar, I am usually impatient when I post . I have a degree in Geology of Petroleum, but took 3 time to get out of 2nd semester Rediric and comp . Had to date the TA teaching it to get a c.

this is about a hobby not grammar school .
I do use a proof write on stuff that matters

after the race season I will start a thread on sponsorship and what it takes .,

Hey, those socks don't even come close to his knees, and they match his shorts that day :thumb:

Define "groupie" ...
He's no more a "groupie" than you are, and we're all whore's...we sell ourselves to our jobs for money, we give our hearts minds and souls to accomplishment, goals and fun. At least he's doing it for something he truly loves...I'm a whore for diesel go fast parts and proudly admit I'm a Duramax diesels groupie:rofl:

Nice looking pan, what does he charge? Surprised somebody doesn't make an entire kit.
He doesn't stock them, just makes them as needed so they are likely fairly pricey.

Reason nobody makes a kit is that there aren't enough people that would buy one to make it worthwhile. I bet you couldn't sell a dozen in a year.

I bet you could not sell 5 a year.

a Dry sump system is unique to the application. Every time I do a system, I think of a better way to do it , after I'm done.
kind of like measure twice , cut once

I called Greg at ZZ custom fab this morning , He get $750 for a custom pan , with 4 pick ups . I like the way he is doing pans now , He has internal piping for pick ups and they all come out of the pan side by side , so the hosed for the pump are just a few inches long

Is it still semi common to use multiple pickups per pump stage. The last I messed with it, I remember people were starting to use double and triple pickups per stage.

no , I use one pick up and most pans I have seen use one pick up. I have seen a long scraper type pick up . Has a long slite on the bottom at a forwad swep angle . The slit is about .125 tall

here is the tool for the BMRS hose system. You can buy these hoses off ebay fairly inexpensive . usually about $ 5 to $ 10 a hose . The crimps are any where between $3-8 each and any hose shop with a CNC crimper will be able to use these hoses/, I like this system , because with the AutoVerdi pump you only need two fittings , the pan fitting screws in directly to the pan , and has a screen. I have a 55 gallon drum full of these hoses , and the crimps in every sizes. Lucked in to a MWD account with the BMRS place , the girls father is a firefighter. I have every size from -6 to -16 . I don't mind loaning them out , I use them once or twice a year.

NHRA and IHRA require you to test the hoses to 250 psi , but you can do that yourself , and self certify

20151123_175214_zpssknpng1l.jpg

you can see the fittings on this pan in my dragster , there is only the fittings on the end of the hoses , this same a great deal.
