So I have an 01 dump truck 12' body all stock just a work horse that i picked up for bad injectors... everything runs good now but i have a vibration on take off, not while driving just take off. also when rear drive-shaft is removed vibration goes away. Pinion and output shaft angles are spot on same angle. Drive-shaft was fully rebuild new joints and carrier. Still same problem. Output shaft feels nice and tight and pinion does as well. Funny thing about it is the carrier bearing is offset to the passenger side, doesn't look modified in anyway but have never come across this before. Also don't see why they did that as there is plenty of room to run it straight.. before I go modifying this just wanted to see if anyone else has come across this.

have you brought in to get the driveshaft balanced? i had redone my driveshaft as well and had some vibrations around 50, then at 70-85, then at 95-110... driveshaft looked fine... but turns out it was so out of balance, it couldnt be fixed. had to buy a new shaft from GM. swapped it out and it was like a brand new truck. maybe pull the driveshaft and bring to your local driveline shop to see if its a-okay? however... i would think balancing wouldnt effect it at take off... never know though.

I saw a forum somewhere when I was having issues with my driveshaft by just searching In A Google search before I had joined here... Was all about vibrations when taking off... Tons of guys saying to grease the slip yoke and it fixed their issue... I think some guys were having a clunking noise when stopping and going... However I don't see greasing the slip yoke as a good idea... I feel like it would mix in with the Tranny fluid. Wish I remembered where I saw it. There was some other info in there as well...

They were talking about the one at the carrier. My friends f350 was terrible about it.

I had to grease the one on my LLY all the time at the transfer or it vibrated at speed.
