Hey guys, I had a buddy that was going to lend me some drag radials this summer but I'm not sure that is still happening. This has gotten me thinking long and hard about buying myself a set. I'm just curious what you guys are running for tires and sizes. I'd like to try and mount them on my PYOs and sell the tires that are mounted on them. I'm also curious if everyone thought it was worth the money. I currently cut low 1.8 60ft but I dont want to spend 1000 bucks to gain a tenth.

If you went from 1.80 to 1.60 in the 60' that difference could be worth .4 in the 1/4 mile so that is a pretty decent cost per .1 ratio

I ran m and h drag radials I factory wheels in 2wd and cut 1.7 60 ft with good track prep, 1.8 with average prep. I would think 4 of them in 4wd should help.

Instead of spending that money on drag radials why don't you get your suspension figured out so you can really reap the benefits of them down the road?

I've done 1.71 on stock bridgestone 245's. You should be able to do much better then 1.8's... specially in a truck with the power you have

I cut a 1.72 on my 22s with 305-40-22 toyo proxes.. So i'd have to agree, u can get ur suspension dialed better and thats less than a 1k

I'm cutting 1.72 60 fts with 20x8.5 rock stars and 285/50 Nitto 420s. I've got my suspension set up down. Might just need qa1's to finalize it. With drag radials on pyo's I'm hoping to cut 1.5-1.6's.

We will see how my nitto 420s do for 305s on 22's, but I don't think ill have an issue. I'd rather spend money on shocks first. Going from stock to 9 way ranchos helped my launches greatly in the single cab.

I haven't put them on yet but I have a set of Fox Shocks. I'm hoping they do ok on the track but I plan on keeping them since most of my driving is not on the track. We shall see. Basically if I got to the track and run a 12.2 I will go online and buy tires. I want this truck in the 11s. And from what you guys are saying I should be able to cut at least that off my 60ft. Also the Falkens I'm running arent as aggressive as I thought they would be. They have a lot less contact patch than I thought.

what settings do you use on your Rancho s at the track? I installed a set but haven't had a chance to experiment yet.

I ran consistant 1.66-1.68s with my 285/55 20 Proxes 1s. Tire wheel combo was about 85 lbs each.

I think alot of people get caught up on the 1.8-1.9 area due to lack of decent suspension. If you are running a stock suspension on 75-125K truck...you really can't expect to turn a good 60' IMO....there is exceptions to it I'm sure, but overall, i wouldn't call it normal.

When i get to the track i run my rear ranchos on 9, the stiffest setting. I run 5100s on the front , i have also run just a regular in expensive shock as well .. I would like to try a qa1 in the front just to see if it helps.
