If you want to check your glow plugs to see if they are working take your test light. Power it up to your + lead on your battery. Touch the test light end on the tip of your glow plugs were they would recieve power and if the light is bright your glow plugs are good. If the light is dim then relpace as needed.

You can ohm them to the block to. Touch the part that the wire is secured to and touch the block with the other lead, if it has continuity, they are bad.

Well she finally started last night at 1:30am. I had to rig up 100ft. of extension and plug he in though. My buddy in his LMM was finally able to boost me. When she started OH EMM GEE!!! Smoke and loud as all heck lol! I HAD to be at work for 7am so I just let her idle all night...5 1/2 hours. I worked with it all day and just shut her down. Idling didn't take much fuel at all. I researched it a bit and for the LB7 apparently it takes about a liter an hour ( .26GPH ) I can't plug her in again tonight so before bed I'm going to start her up again and let her run through the night. About 6-7 hours.

Now, tell me more about how you went about changing just that relay;)

What are the odds of the fuel gelling and plugging the fuel filter in the cold? My lbz limped after 20 miles this morning. I pulled over and cleared the low rail pressure code. When I got back on the highway the code came up again but this time didnt limp the truck. Performance was down and rpms wouldnt go above 2200 but I had all gears. I ran the tank out (240 miles) cleared the code again and the truck ran perfect all day (another 900 miles towing a 29 foot boat) Any Ideas???

The fuel filter head has a heating element to prevent this condition. Check to see if it is functioning properly with an ohm meter...

Napa Echlin: AR282 is the part# I used and also if you did not know one relay is for the heater grid and one is for the glow plugs.

The LB7 is the only one with relays-- all the others are solid state electronics, and not servicable.
