I turned off the lab computers for now until I can find a way to make them only run at night when the A/C is not running.

Points chasing is fun, but what we need for the long term is more computers running the simple Systray version, that won't really have an effect on your electric bill or interfere with your computer use. Not to say hot rod computers aren't needed also, but everyone can make a donation to the cause. If you are reading this, you can help. You just need an internet connection and a computer.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to do something about the GPU iteration count. I was for sure on track to do WU on the slow and never get credit by not having them sent in on time.

I am now upgrading my power supply and adding a NVIDIA GTX460 1gb version. Not sure on the super clocking over clocking or clocking otherwise but maybe I can make the old turd machine produce. That system tray cpu thing is just not doing very well on this thing either. Been reading the forums and will try the SMP and GPU3 on this one.

Anyway, parts are supposed to fit. Hope I don't release the factory smoke from the new parts.

I just ordered a newer video card for the computer that I'm running the GPU client on. And I can move the old video card to my little Celeron computer. So it can go from about 24 hours for a problem down to about 10. Have to wait and see what the new video card will be able to do, it's not a monster for video but it should help and about its the best card that computer can run.

It is Rob. Seems a little slow compared to what other folks are getting out of the same card. Do you by chance have a screen shot of your GPU running a WU? Here is another screen shot to show the progress. I'm happy it all worked and I didn't decide on one of the computers Pat is using, probably should still look into one. The SMP WU are miserably slow.

lol my laptop runs at about 280-290 NS/day.....that thing hauls.

My new GPU is supposed to be at the house today. It should be up in those numbers of yours.....(Hopefully better) lol
