Has anyone here used the DJM 3/5 drop kit? If so pros and cons. I need to lower my truck more and looking at some suspension options for 2016.

It was one of the first things I installed back in 07. I think the only part I'm still rocking are the front control arms, but none of its ever given me any issues. If you want more flexibility to go lower in the rear down the line I'd seriously consider doing their C-notch kit.

It's still listed for sale.. I have one person interested waiting to hear back from him. But I will continue to add the stuff it needs to be what I want it to be Incase it doesn't sell.

I've got that kit on my truck, I love it. The rear will smack the bump stop if you hit a big bump in the road, I'll be notching the frame shortly. I'm running 305/40-22s and with trimmed inner fenders, there is no rub in the front.

Ran a 3/5 DJM for couple years on my gray LBZ crew cab that ended up going to a 4/6

I wouldn't trust their lower control arms for coilovers if you plan on switching to them as well, just FYI.

Their shocks also suck ass, get some good ones.

Even with only 3/4" thick bumpstops I smack frame to axle on large bumps or if it's loaded the frame just rides on the axle. Mine is a little closer to a 4/6 than a 3/5 but I refuse to cut up the frame for a c-notch. I also need bags but can't find a decent bag setup that doesn't go under the leafspring.

The shocks are def garbage, I went with 2" shorter rancho 9000 adjustable.

I run the lower control arms on my Ext. Cab and I just welded up some beefy tabs when I did the coilovers. Been going strong for 20k.

DJM C-notch works great. I've has mine in for the last 100k and my trucks done tons of towing/heavy loads. I wouldn't think twice about doing it again.

I'm not worries about strength or reliability. I just don't want to cu t the hell out of my frame its not easily reversible.

Are you guys seriously running into frame issues with the 5" drop? On the lowest shackle setting?

Hellen Keller sent this?

OregonDmax- Did your truck ride better with the Rancho? Seems like the DJM shocks kind of crash over bumps.

Yeah way better, I never bought the djm shocks because Brian said not to but I rode in a truck with them and they are bricks. I love the rancho shocks on my truck.

Good to know. After I do my head gaskets, I'll look into getting a set. And yes, at 5" drop in the back it will smack the frame over a big bump. I just need to get the bags back on my truck. I will also be notching the frame a couple of inches.

I've been planning my drop out to be sure its exactly what I want. I wonder if running it on the notch higher (obviously slightly less drop) will help.
