I've been planning my drop out to be sure its exactly what I want. I wonder if running it on the notch higher (obviously slightly less drop) will help.
That's exactly the way I am. I am waiting and getting what I need. I want to be 100% sure it will be as low as I want. I obviously don't want it slammed like a mini truck.

Quick question how low can you go before you need caltracs/ will traction bars be fine?

The way the caltrac pivot plate attaches to the front leaf hanger will not work with crew cab short bed trucks once you remove the factory hanger. I ran into this on my gray LBZ. Long beds will be fine as will duallys IIRC.

When I put mine in the second to last hole on the shackle the shackle hit the bed and pushed it up, now you can see it bulged out when you look into the bed back by the tailgate.

As far as I'm concerned the other 3 holes are vanity holes

On the DJM shackles? I have a set of Belltech 2" shackles and there are no higher holes, these might work better for me.

Do you guys still have your overloads and all your leafs in place?

The djm shackles have 4 holes, on hole 3 it hits the bed.

I also ditched the overload.

Just a set of regular 60" traction bars. All I had to do was trim the bottom of the bracket for the ebrake cable. The ones you have should work shouldn't they?

No they will hit the ground or be very close to hitting. I was gonna get Caltracs but heard they wouldn't work with the DJM kit

I still have my overloads, they will go in the garbage when I put the bags back on and notch it. It only has about an inch to inch and a half of rake, it's barely noticeable. But it still annoys me.

How big is the frame side mount? Mine are pretty big and I've only hit about a dozen times on very steep driveways or speed bumps.
