jkholder may be overreacting a bit (given the members and tradition associated with this site and racing/power-sports), but there is a bit of truth in what he says.
All the avatars on this site are PG-13, but there are some that make it a bit iffy to view DD at work. This probably has more to do with my boss being Mormon than the avatars actually being a problem.
Now that I know I can turn them off when at work, problem solved! Plus, it probably looks more like work that way anyway :spit:
Is the avatar on/off computer specific, or account specific? If I could get my work PC to not show them, and my phone & home PC to show them, that would be ideal. Not that changing the setting once in a while is too hard, I guess.

Are you a girl? Then don't speak for them. If a woman was in here saying the content was degrading then okay, we'd listen, but you do not have boobs, and if you do we sure do not want to see you in a bikini. Let women speak for themselves if they feel its degrading or not. My Fiance is very "gifted" and works a 2nd job bartending. There is a direct corellation between cleavage and tips. Not saying its right or wrong, but when your a young couple that just bought a house and have a wedding in a couple weeks, money talks. I really don't see the big deal and it doesn't bother her either. If people are attracted to you then so be it. They are people drinking at a bar, they don't have time to get to know you and like you for who you are, especially if you are already married or engaged, they care about how good you look and tip accordingly.
I have nothing against preserving a womans rights and privacy, but I also feel its their choice, not an extremists choice. It may be stereotypical or not politically correct, but most of the groups of people out claiming all of these different things are "demeaning" just seem to me like they are angry because they didn't get the gift of good looks, or they don't feel looks are important and can't find a guy that will stick around long enough to get to know them. I couldn't they scare me, they seem like they would beat me at night in my sleep with a pillowcase filled with bars of soap.

Seriously? There is no porn, no violent language therefore no need for any of this BS. You don't have to be 18 years old to walk into a victorias secret store, you don't have to be 18 to go to the waterpark and see girls in swimsuits.

Its along the same lines of why many European countries and Japan produce better products than us. No lawyers worrying about every little thing, people just get their shit done and if they burn their hand tough shit. They get paid well, treated well and they focus on making a better product versus covering their asses.
I saw boobies when I was 12 and I liked them, theres far worse things out there that kids can see. Rape, abuse, murder, drugs, etc etc. Hell walk into a Wal-Mart and just watch the people, thats far more devastating to a childs brain than some girl in a bikini.

Every "raunchy" photo(as my diehard Catholic Gma would say) that is on here has been of attractive girls posing in an appealing outfit and stance. Naturally heterosexual males are attracted to this.
Two guys in a bathtub is not something I have seen on here, nor have I seen anything along the lines of that on here even as a joke. Now there was the picture of the guy who shared a striking resemblence to Pat wearing a nice gold chain and speedo, but otherwise its mostly pictures of the feminine nature. Heterosexuals do not enjoy pictures of guys together naked. I'm not saying nobody on this site hasn't been curious, or enjoys it, but in the public eye everyone on here is very well behaved.
Thats not too say we do not accept the homosexual or bisexual lifestyle, but honestly, women and homosexuals don't really get turned on by a picture of a guys fruit basket, or two fat guys in a hot tub. Now I am sure what they would consider attractive guys would get them hot and bothered, but the rare pictures of guys that are posted on here are generally not the stereotypical "Hot Guy".

durallymax all I meant by degrade is the content of the site.

If you haven't noticed this site is full of "big boys". We know whats appropriate and whats not, the immature ones have managed to stay away some how. Hopefully it stays that way.
This site is not suppose to be appealing to every tom dick and harry, its here for hardcored Duramax enthusiasts. An attractive girl for an avatar is not really degrading to the technical info on the site. The technical info is what matters, if somebody is offended by an attractive girl and chooses not to read the tech info because of it, so be it, but I bet 99% of the people still want to read the tech info anyways.
