Brian, Newly has made plenty of enemies remember that. BoiseRob is good guy.

Thanks Nick...

It's OK. I realize Brian is one of Newly's Minion :hail: and has to follow his leaders orders without question...

if i was to do it all over again id run nitto drag radials.they have a good weight rating, hook great for the strip and trailer pull, and would have been ok on the hard sled track. maybe help from spinning the tires on the dyno as well... just my opinion.

Glad someone agrees with me on drag radials Jess, we've ran both MT and Nitto's and have to say the MT really hook better, what do you think about siping them?

Ken il be honest i dont know what in the hell sipping means...i simply choose the nittos because nitto is a sponosr and the tires are weighted enough to carry the trucks.a sticky compound tire would have really helped me on both track events and the dyno. couldnt kee traction to save my life. im positive as hard as the sled track was it wouldnt have hurt me there either...

Congratuations on being picked Dimitri, we (Rob and I) will be showing up on Thursday the 6th probably in the afternoon to get ready for TS with Max'd Out. White Out isn't going east, too much to do to be messing with 2 trucks.

Better dial it back a little and finish the Challenge before you worry about racing anyone in TS. When I went with Rob to the last challenge they held in SLC, looked to me you don't necessarily have to win any of the events, just don't finish lower than second or third in any of them. Drag racing is getting a good pass in early then wait and see how it goes, be ready to make another pass late if you need to. Obviously choosing the best tire for all the events is very important. Be good to find out what the pulling track is like before hand to make the best choice.

Hopefully they stick to their guns on the rules, that has not always been the case in the past. The event was supposed to be an all around test for street driven trucks, it has evolved way beyond that in many cases.

The two things I saw at the event I attended that I didn't think was quite right was allowing someone other than the registered driver to dyno the truck and they held up the competition too long waiting for a broken truck to make it back. If they establish a time frame for each event then they should stick to it period, it's not fair to the trucks that are still running to wait for a broken one beyond the event time limit.

thank you ken:hug: i apperciate all the advise and the props for making it, i hope she holds together will see. good luck to your crew down there, show the east the west :happy2:

Its pretty funny that 40 year old fat guys can feel like a kid on Christmas morning over a phone call, but damn, I'm looking forward to this. I kind of lost the diesel bug over this long, ridiculous Ohio winter, but its back in full force now. Sure will be good to meet some of you Western states guys. Jeff...........sorry for the mental and physical anguish you are about to go through.:D

hey matt good luck, its going to be good to hang out with you boys from back east, maybe you can show me a few tricks about how the hell to launch my sh!t box:rofl: best of luck to your crew and the rest of the competitors see ya there:happy2:

Out west it's a pretty common thing to do to tires for better traction, it actually slices the tread and makes small cuts in the tire. Makes a huge difference in slick roads and put a lot more actual tire surface to the road. I think on a hard clay piulling track they would work well.
