Why should he? You can hear the motor start to rattle before it blows. Sounds like Newly's assertion of the situation is pretty accurate.I sure hope that Brayden warranties that one:spit:

Saw this on another forum, from Newly
"Funniest **** of the day was when a guy showed up to the track and started screaming at Fidel and demanded to get paid then was about to whip his ass. The guy was screaming so loud it was echoing between buildings. We all got a good laugh from that."
Dmitris trans is toast and because of that he over spun his GT55 and blew it up too.
Warranty work on this type of treatment of trucks is like you bet dude we'll write that up right now and give you all the engines and trannies you can blow. Shops can't afford to redo work on these trucks because the owners do this type of torture and then just a I have the biggest whatever number. No way it's you own it you treat it how you want but it's yours.
Over-spinning a GT55 is impressive.
But if the 55 failed, I'd also check other things like oiling, debris, etc. IIRC, I calculated it was still in the map at 5000 rpm with 75psig going into the cylinders.
That seems to be a not terribly uncommon for guys that have a fast truck.
That's one of the reasons I don't want to do any diesel performance work. The other major reason is covered in this thread too, people wanting to double, triple or more the power of their truck and still think it should last and have a warranty.
No way can anyone warranty a Dmax race engine at 1000+ HP.
That being said, you should always have an agreement as to what happens if it does blow, and what happens if it was caused by neglegience? such as forgetting a wristpin clip, head gaskets on backwards, etc.
The PARTS can fail racing, but the engine building shouldn't.
