Staceys show "gears" is awesome. i remember when he was on Trucks on the power block. he always built some cool stuff and had the knowledge to go with.

any more, im on velocity watching car shows. they have some decent ones but i still record the new "Power Nation" shows. some of the stuff is a bit redundant but there is always a bit of info i pick up in there i didnt know before about other makes engines, link design, axle design/fabrication, ect.

Personally, i like Grave yard Cars the best (Mike fricken knows his shit about Mopars, god damn..), Bitchen Rides, Fantom Works is ok but the owner is a little too staged for the show IMHO, Chasing Classic cars (love it when he brings in an old car and his mechanic has to get an old/unique car running, the tech and info he has for way back when is a lost/dieing art. fascinates the hell out of me) and ill still fill my time with Fast and Loud cause some of the cars/trucks they build are pretty damn cool.

needless to say, between all the car shows i watch, my wife hates me :roflmao:

I fully agree! All the shows nowadays have to appeal to the dumb and illiterate. Society is just getting dumber and dumber because of the illiteracy of shows like "Diesel Bros", the stupid people are breeding lol. Movies like Wall-E and Idiocracy are slowly becoming reality's.


As true diesel enthusiast we should do all we can to improve our image in the general public eye. Shows like "Diesel Bros" don't help this image. We should do all that we can to get shows like this off the air... But.....if everyone who cares takes the time to write something similar to Discovery, maybe they'll see they screwed up. Its pie-in-the-sky, but worth a try.

Frankly, I like boring. I hate doing things twice.

That's what I don't get because it really isn't boring. if they went to fleece, Danville, Socal, Wagler some of these shops that actually do the engineering and R@D and make some serious power and continue growing the diesel industry and make improvements that would be a real show. most of those shops would turn them down though I have no doubt as they wouldn't want to show their secrets or what they are working on.

Imho its what the whole aftemarket/ custom industry has become. Back when i had trucks/ cars at sema or built one it was the custom work that set them apart. This year at sema it was about the bolt ons to make something custom. Now i watched the show (since my son follows them on ig) and it wasnt the greatest but i cant knock a guy for making it & doing what we all love to do. Thats play n build trucks. I will say that the shop is nice & the staff/ owners are very humble. We had a chance to meet them & tour the shop. They have some pretty crazy things they built which are alot better then what they built for the 1st show. I probably wont set my dvr or make it a point to watch every week but i give it up to them for doing it. I do have to thank them for showing my son around on his trip to utah & hooking him up with some free gear n the hospitality.

If we all had something better to do, we wouldn't watch ANY TV, Discovery chanel wouldn't exist, and you hooligans (I assume they're your boss) wouldn't have a TV show. How's that make you feel???
