I wasnt going to blame my bad day on the teenager running the water box, but I did fire off an angry email to US131 Dragway about it. A racer should be able to adjust, and I did not.

Slick, I trapped 108+ on some of my previous runs. That 12.43 run DA's out to [email protected]. MPH seems a bit off, but it is what it is.

As for the shocks....lets just say Ill have some front Bilsteins for sale pretty soon. I wonder if the front end coming up so fast and hard is whats really screwing with the suspension? Hell, I dont know...Im a UPS driver for cripes sake, not a mechanical engineer.

US131 is a joke:mad:

I ran 20 runs one night trying to hit the 12's weather was perfect. I ran about 10 passes at a 13.0x

Next time out at the local track....12.9's with more un-favorable conditions.

I have had the water box experience myself, it seems like they always wet it down good for the guys that dont want it:(

I've never had a problem getting around the water box at US131

You didnt see how this kid was watering it.....but in the end, I didnt adjust. I should have left at lower rpm. My lask of experience showed.

You can't expect to 60 better than conditions allow. You can adjust all you want but if your tires are wet you aren't going to have your best 60. Like I said before I'd be pretty happy with 1.7 60's with moisture on my tires.

So just to clarify you trapped 108 on the old tuning or after you went to the dyno the last time?

Tom i dont have any one around here to race, so i was wondering if we could race each other you in michigan and me here. we are about as close as we can get to the same set up. stock motor, turbo, injectors. i have 2xCP3 you have a lift pump. we have both dynoed close to one another you have a cc i have an ext cab. so far my best is 12.9 @ 105 full weight yours is 12.40@108 (dont know weight)

so what do you say? just a friend race from 900 miles away

Surely you don't really think a dual CP3 with no lift pump is the same a single CP3 with a lift pump.

Slick, The tune is essentially the same as last year. Mark changed the reg settings so I didnt surge, and also brought the torque in eariler (how I do not know). I ran 108 last year October, temps were 65*, air was good. Also, looks like the truck was very efficient. This time around was 80*, humid.

How would we do that? Lets just have some fun. I hope to get back to Stanton on the 8th. Got to order shocks tonight. :)

Ok sorry for the misunderstanding Tom, I thought that there were some changes made that would result in more power.

just compare run times pretty much. see who would have who out of the whole and so on.

mostly im just bored and leave for Iraq on the 25th and would like to race another diesel (other then a lifted Ford)

I need to work on the WOT performance of my tow tune:joker:

Jonathan should run you. He has a turbo upgrade, you have some extra fuel, could be fun. When does Chris get back from Iraq? Then there's Jay now that he has some extra air on tap:angel:. I could get Josh and/or Robert to come down. If you want races I can get them lined up going done the list of local customers.

Don't feel bad Tom, believe me you didn't embarrass me one bit. I am having the same issue with J.T.'s truck. I was able to mustar a [email protected] but couldn't get out of the hole any faster because it would just light them up if I tried to leave any harder than 10-12psi. Setup is everything and once you reach the limits it is a pain to bring it back around. I agree with Trent that it won't be until fall that the times will be fallin fast!

Too busy going fast!

Congrats again Tom! :thumb:

Maybe we can meet up at Eric's and race in the spring. :)

That would work. I sure hope he has a Spring Fling in 2010.
But the kids DO have spring break in April, and I have the week off. I'd love to see the Gateway Arch.

Thanks Rick. Congrats to you and TJ, too.
