Hi, my name is Kris Myers, my ebay user id is Kevrhokris, and you can find me on PSN with this same username. I saw this thread today while at work so i stopped, took time out of my day to write this and hope to bring some truth up and fill in some blanks of the story.
I am working on a customer's truck, and i recommended him to get a gt4202r turbo for the fuel he is running. He is not too familiar with everything so he is paying me the money and i am buying all the necessary parts. While cruising around on ebay i came across this hell of a deal gtx4202r, which normally retails for upwards of $2500. The bid was $1000 and there was approximately two hours left on it. The bidder was new (within 30 days by the icon beside his name), with 0 feedback, and i assumed this was his first item for sale, i didnt check his history. I could not believe this was going for so cheap, so at the last second i placed a bid on it (on my Android) and just so happens it took a few seconds too long for it to enter, or i would have defanitely won the auction. I messaged the seller assuming he made a rookie mistake and forgot to set a reserve price on the turbo, and if he could somehow make it legit with the buyer that he was new and would not be able to take the $1025 for the turbo, then to relist it and i would be interested in buying it. I left everything else up to him, i know it is against policy to relist it, it was merely a shot in the dark suggestion, however it was up to him to make the decision and then contact the winning bidder and go from there. His replies to my emails were very prompt, the few he sent.
The next day i saw that he had it relisted, so my first thought was that the seller had somehow made it clear with the previous buyer he was new, didnt know what he was doing, and its up again. I bought-it-now, then paid $1500.00 for it, and i sat back and waited for the turbo. Few days have gone by since and i asked a few times about how it's coming along, dont get a reply, then log on ebay looking for his information, he now has -2 feedback, both scams. I now think this is a scam and went to tell him so-either send me the turbo or refund my money, its simple. Today i googled his name I got off the paypal transaction (Chris Thompson by the way) and Misfit2588, and i saw this thread, so i thought it was only honest that I registered to write this post.
I have no intentions of screwing anyone out of money or parts, i only bought the turbo with the assumption that it was in the clear and i was the rightful buyer. I WOULD NOT have bought the turbo had i known that the previous winner had paid for it!:banghead: (he never told me so) As soon as i saw this thread and he had in fact had two people pay for the same thing, I messaged the guy through email letting him know that several people knows what is going on-he should google his own name... I feel like a dumbass for even suggesting a relist to the him just trying to help him out and get more money out of his product, and i had no knowledge someone else in fact paid for the turbo...(i didnt know he would do the crooked, wrong thing and screw someone out of their money)...and since the buyer did pay, he is the rightful owner of it, send HIM the turbo and send me my $1500 back!
Like i said before, i am not out to make enemies or F anyone over (i divulged my personal info and im even sticking my neck out on a forum i dont really belong to, JUST to provide factual info as to what is really going on). In the end I am out $1500 of my own money I fronted for this customer, I am not wealthy by any means, so I want to see my money and I want this guy to get his turbo. Sorry for the confusion 02bigstrokin, i hope this gets settled soon. I need that $1500 back so i can buy this guy a turbo. I could have sat back on my ass and waited for something to happen but i figured i'd throw myself out there ASAP before someone throws me under the bus and I get a bad rap all from a misunderstanding.. As you all see the internet forums pack a pretty heavy punch.
