I use 02600605 for the ZF6 with no problems I've had problems with 02685305 as an auto operating system and changed to 02444105 to fix that, but that was an auto. Never used 02444105 as a ZF6. If you want my good zf6 os, I'll send it to you. I don't know if your os will cause a problem, but I'm 100% sure the one I have works. Just knowing how the 01's act with operating system issues might be enough to reason to make the switch to a known good os, but it's up to you.

It's worth a shot....... [email protected]

Thanks

I was just looking at the schematic for the starter on an 01 and it appears the ecm isn't used in the starter circuit.
it looks like jumpering pin e ppl/wht and pin g yellow wires at the nsbu c2 together should allow it to crank.
But I don't have the NSBU hooked up?

See if with the ignition on, you jumper the starter relay of the under hood fuse box and see if she starts and runs... If it does then just use a separate rocker switch for the starter motor system, Casper turns on and off with the key but has a independent system for the starter. Then you can axe all the excess crap. All you need is the fuel enable signal, making the starter work is easy. Bitchen project dude!

I'll give it a shot tommorow

Thanks Robert

The nsbu interrupts the crank signal to the starter relay. So if those two circuits are joined it should crank.

Unlike the newer trucks the ECM doesn't provide ground for the relay.

If you need it I can send you a schematic for the starter.

I had the same problem on mine being i swapped to a allison 545 after the bellhouseing took a dump on the 1000. I tried the same 34 pin and it did nothing for me also. I just wired in a push bottom straight to the starter and got power for something that was only hot with key one and its been working perfect since. Hope this helps

Ok,well I tried the different tune and didn't help

I can crank it with jumper wire soooo that's the way it's gonna be.... Going to run a wire thru the Lenco neutral safety switch to pass tech also

Thanks for the advice guys

Do you still have the nsbu wiring?

I would run the nsbu start circuit through the Lenco switch.

OT but how's that 545 handling the dmax power/tq? Is it stock or are there parts available to make them handle more power/tq?

Its been good so far for a take out off of a bus. Made it threw last season great. We also have one behind a 650hp cummins on 70" tires and he hasn't had a problem with it yet either.
