That transfer case looks huge! How heavy is it? Are there any other 4wd trucks with a Lenco, or are you the first? I think what you're doing is pretty cool. :thumb:

The t-case is 78lbs of pure brute strength
There is no way to switcht to 2x4 with out simply removing the front shaft
It came with 2 sets of gears thatcan be swapped in about 10 minutes and I'll need to play with once I'm up and running

As far as I know I'm the first to run a Lenco with a t-case behind a duramax lots of people have done it with BB and SB Chevys with monster trucks but not a race application

It's def a learning curve and alot of figuring shit out without others. Help

Hopefuly it will run without to much pain, but knowing my luck I'll stay optimistic :D

Josh I don't have any pics of the orange and black wire yet:D

But here is some of the Lenco it's been in/out quite a few times I had to do this to make sure the adapter plate would work as the quick times bell housing was for a small block I had to build a thick palte to compensate for the larger converter.1" thick plate

Also had to. Cut a hole in the floor for the fed/ rev shifter and needed to cut a bit of the tunnel to fit the scs t-case

the duct tape covers the holes for the ACD shift solenoids

i thought thats what was holding it together....:roflmao:

I've started my truck with the tcm not plugged in. I forgot to plug it back in when I did my water pump. There just wasn't a line under the gears on the gauge cluster. I plugged it in. Truck threw a code but it cleared after a few key cycles.
It's an automatic though.

Aint that the truth! For someone that works so much he gets alot done on the truck. He must have taught gibson how to turn wrenches:D

Now that is funny but half true, I spent a good half day getting the converter bolts in and then Ted swings by and says " how you gonna install the starter "
Out comes the trans! Mid plates get ya every time lol

I started one last year with a zf6 tune and I had to unplug a module under the drivers seat. I forget what it was. I didn't ground anything to get it to fire. The guy pulled the Allison and went to a Dropbox setup with a clutch.

What zf6 OS are you using?

The module under the seat may have been air bag module but I have gotten rid of that years back with no issues.

The op system is 02444105 it's from a 02 zf6

It's also searching for the T case not that I'm to worried about that though

When I did my first LB7/LBZ swap, it would crank but not fire until the tcm was powered under the fuse box. I had to move the two paired orange wires to the tcm orange. Not sure that you would need to do this, just giving an example that it would not fire until powered up.

The Norco's
See if with the ignition on, you jumper the starter relay of the under hood fuse box and see if she starts and runs... If it does then just use a separate rocker switch for the starter motor system, Casper turns on and off with the key but has a independent system for the starter. Then you can axe all the excess crap. All you need is the fuel enable signal, making the starter work is easy. Bitchen project dude!

Russ, I don't crank at all. No TCM or NSBU or wires to the T-case

I'll figure it tomorrow :) but it's probably going to be the same for you with ur race truck.

I use 02600605 for the ZF6 with no problems I've had problems with 02685305 as an auto operating system and changed to 02444105 to fix that, but that was an auto. Never used 02444105 as a ZF6. If you want my good zf6 os, I'll send it to you. I don't know if your os will cause a problem, but I'm 100% sure the one I have works. Just knowing how the 01's act with operating system issues might be enough to reason to make the switch to a known good os, but it's up to you.

I was just looking at the schematic for the starter on an 01 and it appears the ecm isn't used in the starter circuit.

it looks like jumpering pin e ppl/wht and pin g yellow wires at the nsbu c2 together should allow it to crank.
