Sorry, I forget, but are there any threaded coolant ports in the Dmax block other than the sensor on the Tstat boss??

Just the block drains that James mentioned in his post are the only ones I can think of too. You could tap that plate on the flywheel housing if you need something bigger.
Thanks. I completely forgot about the drains. (Insert facepalm smilie here)there are two i know of for sure. they should have yellow paint on the bolt marking them. one on each side of the block
Oh, just trying to find a relatively simple way to add a coolant temp switch for electric fans. The preferred switch is 22mm, so its kind of unwieldy. There is another one that might work thats 14mm. Figured Id use an adapter into an existing port on the block.Or the pipe downstream of the water pump

I would keep it in the coolant flow. Is there a big enough area where the t-stats are to just drill / tap another hole on top where the vent is? You could always weld a bung on the coolant outlet tube...
