Generally you will see a fluctuation under steady cruise.
Upper rad hose will get hard as a rock even before the truck is warm. Probably come out in the morning after letting it sit and will still be hard as a rock.
Rock Hard as far as I knew was not normal after checking in the morning
this would mean you would have high pressure on the the coolant system
Not tryying to argue,But this was a issue after every time i blew head gaskets
looking at the volume in the tank was pointless as cylinder pressure kept the volume normal
Could you clarify "all over the place" mine will drop some while sitting and letting it idle in a drive thru, and it will usually rise from around 192 to 197 on a WOT run, it will drop to 180 or so while waiting in the drive thru........this is not the factory gauge fluctuating though its aftermarket.
minor flux is fine,Im talking overheat to under heat was my symtoms
hwy was normal and then hit a hill and wham over heat then go down the other side and real low temps
it was all over the place larry
Have had both tuned and stock work trucks with the headgasket problem. Dont think its boost, beating or nitrous. Just hit or miss like the LB7 injectors I am starting to think.
Its a wierd thing ive had 3 sets in 60K+ miles heads where refaced everytime just to make sure
Every time i denied that that was the problom,But it always was
the first time was the worst and i never seen over 28 psi boost
I figured it was just my luck
