A co-pilot in full race mode will make the converter lock. I have used it in my truck. Without it in full race mode it acts just like what Jody is describing.

When does your truck make the 1-2 shift? Does the Copilot change how it behaves before lockup (serious question)?

When my truck revved to hell in first gear 3600+ it didn't matter which buttons I pressed, lights I made flash, etc. I know what full race mode is and tried it..........lots.

If I launched softer so the 1-2 shift was under control, it would lock the converter right at the bottom of 2nd in race mode.

I called ATS about it, and they didn't act like they had never heard of that happening before. They said check the Copilot wiring and that I could put a switch on one of the copilot wires for a lock up switch.

I never noticed what you are describing.
