im 500hp stock turbo with the 1057, worked great until i had problems. I would definitely check with mike and see what he is coming up with from Precision. -Jeff

im gonna leave this for mike but a 1057 is probibly a little tight for 35s. He may reccomend a 1055 but I wouldnt rule out a 1056 either.

35's are going to make a tight converter looser and a loose converter even looser .

and to the OP let your trans guy help choose your converter . what your doing, hp, turbo, elevation , and personal preference will play the big role .

I run a 1057 but have 4.11 gears...that is what Mike spec'd for me...but at the time it was the latest and greatest.

i go the 1058 and it feels pretty good, dont you want a higher stall with larger tires?

I disagree i would not go with a 58 at all

I also would not recommend a 1058 for anything that will drag race. Works great everywhere else, but has more slip than the tcm allows to command lockup. On mine it waits until 4th to command the lockup which hurts the et.

It will lock 2nd on if you do an un-boosted launch, but not with a 15-22 psi launch, way more boost/power/torque and slippage at the 1-2 upshift so no lockup command. It is something that can be tuned out of EFI Live can locate the proper table(s), but until they do it's smarter to stick with something that's proven to work.

I run a 1056 with my setup but I could actually use a little looser convertor. Tuning will be the determining factor of how well you like it and how it will perform. Suncoast will make a custom stall for you though.

Arguing with you will not do any good. Truth is you have screwed everyone you dealt with in SoCal and across the country. I will let people believe what they want. We are all glad we're done with you.

Well if you say so. bottom line your opnions on what you think you know of those 2 situations dosent even pertain to this. i guess your warranty should state only valid if i still like you. if not tough shit. you continue to derail the subject because you know the converter is a pos thts why you strung me along for a year. you said you would replace it replace it. you replaced other peoples? i even told you if you replaced it and it dint fix the problem i would pay for the new converter and labor. but you allready know the outcome.
ok now continue to bash me and change the subject

That still dosent answer why you wont replace it? after you said you would twice in pms once in public fourm on this board. or why you wont stand behind your warranty? if you dont want me in your shop fine send me a converter Ill put it in my self since you never charged me for labor to put my 58 in. and I will give you this pos back. Funny how me and you never had one issue not one untill i defended nick then you turn to bashing me. I meen i never evevn asked you for the $285 i paid for your moveing trucks to move your shop. remeber that? But yea im the bad guy here. I have herd from many others with the same issues. on this same thing. but hey must be my spin on right ? or my tune ? or mabey my motor build some how ?
