I have everything in, and I just finished up three big jobs for customers this morning so now I can work on putting these together. Im just trying to figure out a mounting setup that looks a little cleaner than my prototype.

Im just spitballing here but what about this idea.

Those red ricer NOS buttons, and mount them in place of the steering wheel radio controls?? One for the converter lock and one for the unlock, I think I would like a setup like this as its at a thumbs reach, but who knows, it may not be comfortable once installed.

also, could you PM me a price on your lock and unlock switches? Thanks.

OK here is a rough prototype.

Just trust me, its not as big/bulky as it looks. :)

The box contains the TCM fooling and unlock circuit. The switch is big enough so its easy to feel without looking, and has a positive enough "action" that you are not going to accidentally flip it if you hit a bump in the track or something.

The green LED lights up when the torque converter is actually locked. (not just when the TCM 'thinks' its locked)

I figure it was simplest to mount the switch and electronics/circuit all inside one box and mounting that to the shifter rather than having a small switch mount, then a separate box under the dash. The wire coming out of the back of the box goes directly to the TCM.

let me know what you guys think so I can start making these ASAP.

Ben

I think that is fine. If you don't want it on your shifter you can mount it somewhere else. Will this work on all years of trucks?

All the 2001-2005 5-speed testing is done; it works as intended with no limping or anything.

As for the 6-speeds, it "should" work fine; but I will have to test it on HEEPJEEP's LBZ before I can say for sure.

Sounds good, personally I'd rather be able to hide the box and just have a switch somewhere, I just like a cleaner stock look, but I'd assume you'd still be able to do that, by doing some disassembling and splicing?

Thanks, let us know when it's ready for a 6 speed. You can count me in.
