I'm curious if the converter flash point coincides with the stall. Basically what I mean is if the stall is raised does the flash point raise as well? My truck only sees about 15% racing time, where as the rest is just a normal daily driver. I just switched to a 1055 from a 1056 and the stall and coupling is great for launching, but I feel like if I got the flash raised another 200-300rpm it would drastically improve daily driveability and smokeless spoolup for normal acceleration. In fact I think my flash was higher with the 1056 and larger chargers.
Would going to a more loose converter help the flash point? I assume I would be sacrificing coupling if I went too loose for my chargers... Or should I just admit I'm getting old and downsize my small charger?
