Call me and i'll get you taken care of man!

Sounds great Andrew! Just ran at the track today and could not get more than 2psi and 1500rpm at launch regardless of what I did. I'm having a conundrum whether I should change the converter, or my small charger for something actually proven. If I go the converter route I'll definitely give you a call!

1053:D

My valley 72/87/1.0 comes to life effortlessly. Can squeeze 10 psi from the 88mm also before it wants to walk the brakes. My 88 has a 112mm turbine too.

My bank hates people like you  I'm going to ride out the whole enjoying a truck that isn't broken for a little while longer before I make my decision. I can almost guarantee a looser converter would help this truck's overall drive ability aspects though. Stupid Colorado air haha.

My utah air isn't much better. Average DA of 7200'. The 1053 made my truck a new animal. Daily driving smoke output is much less, spool ability is way up. I went from the 1055 to the 1053. Absolute night and day difference.

That's great to hear. That leads to another question. How are your trans temps with a looser converter in regards to daily driving? I still have the stock cooler which if I change the converter again a cooler will be manditory for sure.

I am also running stock cooler still. Temps are definitely higher. It hasn't been super hot here yet, mid 70's today and it didn't touch 200°. I have a feeling it will be more in the 210-215 range mobbing around on a hot day. Trans cooler is next on my list.

I am also running roughly high line pressure, around 340psi. Ratiotech spring with 2 new style shims.

I am running 1 shim and the 1054. My temps were up around 190 so I had to cool it down. I called Mike L to get a cooler but never got a call back so I went with a PPE cooler. I am very happy with it and temps are down 30 degrees.

Hot lapping at the track is the only place where I have temp problems with mine. Only a short spurt of airflow then idling the truck doesn't help much. Debated on rigging up a small electric fan for at the track only.
