Wouldnt that put you slightly off balance also

Is the hole stripped or what? there is obviously a reason it's coming out

useing new bolts?
I wondered about the hole being stripped too, but if he's able to torque it to 130 lb-ft... (seems like a lot of torque for a converter bolt to me )

Here's a little helpful info for you:

Torque Converter Bolt / 60 N·m / 44 lb ft

Drop your tranny Kurt-that threaded hole in your TC is NFG. Your gonna need to get it fixed or a new converter put in.
While your at it, take all your flexplate bolts out of the flywheel and toss them in the garbage and replace with new. Also put new bolts in your TC after you get it figured out. Use the proper GM CERTIFIED assembly procedures when you put it back together.

Otherwise just sell that truck cause I guarantee you are just going to be chasing this problem forever.

Why don't you stop dicking around and rebuild it properly with a new aftermarket TC and an SC III at least if you can rebuild it yourself then for 2500$ you would have a strong transmission. I REPEAT STOP DICKING AROUND if you cant afford to fix it right don't complain about it here please. good luck Kurt

Because i dont have the money to do it. I thought this danm site was for helping people any ways not treating people like a little frecking kid. This is the biggest bullshit ever If i had the danm money for a tranny there would be a tranny new rear end and even a build motor in the truck. Times are tuff right now in florida. And some people fail to relize that. There are over 60,000+ people that just lost there jobs me and my dad included. No but that doesnt matter. The fact of the matter is this danm site is suppose to be for frecking help. If i would have know this site was going to turn into a danm soap show i would have went and got everything from steve cole. I guess yall are just tired of all my questions and all my frecking problems. Because i am just some dumbass kid thats fine yall can be tired of all my shit because after tonight yall wont see me back on here.

Kurt no one is trying to treat you like a child but with some of the post that you have been making has made you look like a baby. This post is one of those it was uncalled for. There has been alot of people that has tried to help you and you jump from one post to another when the issue is in the same area, There is something wrong and you need to take it apart and figure it out not come and ask and then come back and say could it be this or that you will not know til you take the time drop the trans and dig in and look at everything, the 14mm flex plate bolts are 12 bucks for all 8 you must tq them and also use the angler tq meter on those make sure that everything is in there the flex plate the adapter for converter to bolt to and the big washer plate then all 8 hex bolts. Its your choice to come on here and only yours you can always go and see how much help or how well they would help you over on the diesel place, There has been lots of people take up for you before but it gets old when you make them look like ass's.To make it easy for you here's all of your new parts mans info for you.

With a welder :D

There is no way to weld anything together in there, smart ass:). I thought the guy was being serious, I guess he is not. Cause welding a lug to the flew plate isnt going to work period.

Kurt, people here are trying to help you but you don't seem to want to take their advice. When you post things like this you make people not want to help you. This really reminds me of talking to an old ex-girlfriend.....every time you would start to prove your point and get her backed into a corner she would change the subject. You can't talk to someone who doesn't want to listen, and you can't help someone who doesn't want to help themself.

X2.....what is that suposed to mean? Because TQing something in graduated steps does not make it stroger than a higher TQ rating. It just helps to keep the part from cocking and give you a more accurate reading.

X2 again....Once again some has gone out of their way to try and help you. Personally I think saying you should have got the parts from steve bumbhole is a pretty rotten thing to say. But go right ahead, he does have the seceret tables and I bet he will tell you that the secret tables will keep your bolt from falling out:rofl:

I personaly think that some of your posts have been very offencive to several people that have tried to help you. There are some people here that have always tried to stick up for you and when you cross them you make them wish they had never wasted their time.

Excessive crankshaft end play will break flexplates, use a prybar and see very carefully if you can get front to back movement. Probably not it but just an idea.

This could be true since not long ago he said the motor was broke so it could be the thrust washer went out , Also it was said the trans was bad or was that the rear im lost now these days no matter what needs to find whats screwed and fix it. Not put a band aid on it.
