Well, worked out like how I figured it would. Trent's truck whupped mine. He had at least 3MPH over me on every pass.

My truck shifted very well and was .2-.3 faster than it was last year(before injectors) at the same event which compares to the times last year at my local track before and after injectors, so the truck is running fine. Just doesn't have the ponies and not as well setup as Trents.

When we ran in the semi-finals I made up time on the tree, but not enough because his ET's were .4 +/- faster:cool2:

Since I know the tuning in both trucks, appears that the chargers and headers/up-pipes are the difference, that and the great suspension work on the truck allowing the launching which carries through to the stripe.

The lockup controller didn't help any?

not saying that at all , just dont have the data to make the claim either way right now , i treid it both ways and the runs with it on were faster , but the 60 ft times were a little different with it off ( slower ) .

so as a result i dont think its fair to promise anyone X amount of gain for X amount of money . as i stated there are guys that could pick up several 10ths from this part , you know as well as i do Brayden that it depends on whether the truck is blowing through the converter or not . My freind Matt larson is going to buy one because at his power level he is blowing through the converter and his rpm in 3rd gear looked like a snowmobille 3900 rpm through the whole gear on the logs and was finally locked by 4th gear .

Gotcha.. I didn't know how bad you were blowing through the converter... throw some big sticks in and dual pumps :) That will test it!

hopefully by spring :angel: , Matt larsons truck will be a good test because it was obvious by the log what was happening , he has the same converter i do 1055 . he has just never logged it before last night :rofl:

With new tcm tuning, he said it's now locking on it's own. Took a bit of work though. But I think the controller will make it more consistant.

I'm going to get him fixed up Monday.. Will be interesting to see how it does.

With new tcm tuning, he said it's now locking on it's own. Took a bit of work though. But I think the controller will make it more consistant.

I think you guys are mixing up Matt's


Matt moon ( gillet diesel ) loosest freaking converter i have ever seen on a diesel :D
Matt larson who was in DPC, and was with me in MT racing

Awwww, my bad, I was thinking Matt Moon, and not Matt Larson. Yes Matt Larson needs something(tcm tuning, or controller) for that snowmobile.:D

So now we need to put a set in Trent's and really stretch that margin....you think "we" can get to 11.20s?....lol.

Congrats Trent. You have put a lot of time in testing/trial and error and it is really paying off.
