WOW! Thats awesome. Both trucks are very fast! How did the white one beat the red one with slicks?
the red truck ( Dimitri's ) has a big single ( 83mm ) and is also gated very loose so when its sprayed it has a by pass for the extra exhaust gasses , he wasnt able to get the turbo going propperly with out the spray in short . the truck is 100% dependant on Nitrous to run right .
WOW! So a 83mm truck with slicks lost to a 75mm truck on street tires??????

See above explanation, the truck ran 10.8 on the old setup this was its first pass on knew everything and had a few issue's to work out ended the day with a 10.7 @ 130.7 compared to his 11.6 he ran when he lost , I not taking away from Newly's win though , he won straight up, first one to the stripe .

Truck sounded nasty when running away from the start.
I am just explaining for those that dont know ,why a truck setup for heavy spray runs so poor with out it (along with several other problems) , unless you know the details most think they can pickup over a full secound from some juice , and thats not the case. I personally told Dimitri he was an idiot for going down there to race with Zero WOT runs on the truck , he didnt listen and had to pay the price :rofl: he did redeem himself though once he got it all working and put down a wicked pass , most dont know how hard it is to get 130 mph out of a crew cab truck !
I was there and i watched. From what everyone was saying both trucks were on nitrous tunes and both were going to spray but neither of there set ups activated:spit: I just dont understand how a truck with such a larger charger didnt win? He had Slicks too. I talked to both the drivers and both were very nice. Thats how i found out about this site.

Yea, he redeemed himself! That was a nasty run! He was running around cussing and flippin out when he got beat. Everyone thought he blew his motor when his truck was smoking white everywhere.

When a big charger is waste gated really loose ( for Nitrous use ) it diverts exhaust gasses around the turbine ( motor for turbo ) it is done so that when the Nitrous is in use it doesn't over speed or drive the turbo off its Map , the problem come in when the Nitrous isn't used with out properly adjusting the waste gate for fuel only use it diverts too much exhaust gas around the turbo and doesnt drive the turbine hard enough , which in turn means the turbo never does light properly ( hince all the smoke in the vid ) and basically that big compressor wheel means nothing if it isn't spinning fast . Make since ?
I set my truck up around the waist gate, im running a 50 mm waist gate, when its open it will dump enough drive pressure to shut the turbo down all together unless there is enough nitrous going into the motor to overcome the drive pressure loss and keep the turbo going, im not posting to make excusse first one to the stripe wins, newly was on his game straight up, its called racing, how did david beat golith
i was not cussing over the loss that was fine once again its racing, i was cussing cause i thought i just blew my new motor with one pass on it.
With it being your first time at the track with all of the changes done to your truck, I think it ran awsome. It amazes me how you guys can tear a whole truck apart and then have them running these low times first time out. I'm impressed.
i never did run a fuel only pass, that turbo was way to big and the gate open to much to have ever kept it going on straight fuel, every run i made till the last was have fuel have nitrous problems
what a day , i made one run at 11.6 at 113 mph cause the nitrous fuse blew before the 1/8 mile that gives you a idea how much the waist gate was open, that run should have been 10,s had the nitrous keep working, that was the next run after newly and I raced, again no excuses on the loss it is what it is and he took home the trophy and glory, that run stands clear not to be talked about or made any other way than me getting my ass handed to me newly knows will line up again he and myself are both counting on it Yea, makes sence. Congrats to you all! can one of you guys get me tuning that will make my truck run good? What trans do you reccomend? Demeteri said he had a ATS 5 star? Is that right? Where is the owner of the white truck? Hes the one that told me about this site. I just got my tax returns and im going to buy a trans, turbo and tuning. Your guys trucks are frickin bad ass!:thumb:
