Ok thanks.

It looks like I might have limped the truck not to sure. I got a code p0070 mil request from the trans. From doing a quick read it a “general code” indicating the check engine like to come on from the tcm. Looks like a trans will be in the very near future.

You will be surprised at how much better the truck will feel with a built trans...

Before you jump the gun get a better code reader that can read the tcm code. Then go from there.

Built trannies are a must if you are wanting power. The only complaints I have had about one is it’s just not as soft as a stock one. They notice lockup that they couldn’t feel before and that’s annoys them.

I forget and can't see all of your sig but do you have a cp3 conversion done along with your aftermarket turbo? ( I think I'm remembering right on the turbo?)

Just cause im curious. forced inductions has a 6 blade and 7 blade s480. Can anyone tell me which is better. or is there no difference besides blade count?

You're a long way off on compounds, tackle the trans and injectors first. By then, who knows, something new and better may be out. As for 6 blade vs 7 blade I don't know. My Gen 4 comp wheel S480 from them is 7 blade.

Alright guys. I’ve got everything lined up when it comes to injectors and trans. I’m stuck between 2-3 Turbos. Bullseye power billet S480 which I think is a 7 blade and stainless diesel S480 with there 5 blade. Or forced inductions S480 6 or 7 blade (which is the cheapest of the 3. What would you pick?

Hard to go wrong with a 5 blade:D. I don’t know anything about the other turbos you mentioned.

5 blade is overpriced, my bullseye wasn't "all that" in terms of drivability or power vs any other 475. Jose at Forced Inductions builds arguably the best bang for the buck turbo. Their turbos keep up or outperform everyone else (they hold the S480 gas track record as well as a few others) and are 50-70% of the price of others.

Get a S480/96/1.15 from Jose and be done with it. Smile, put the extra money somewhere else in the truck in mods/fuel/tires.

Stainless has a s480 which they put there five blade into,im assuming because the price is $1600ish and not $2100ish bucks. now I had another question. I see you guys all say 1.15 a/r housing, but don't you need to run a waste gate or blow off valve?

You will sacrifice some top end power but gain a stronger low/mid-range. On the stock motor 1.15 is fine where you're not turning tons of RPM, and if you are the motor isn't efficient up there anyway. Blow off valve is on the charge piping side and designed to relieve the built up pressure in a throttle chop situation to eliminate compressor surge. You won't need one.

the 1.15 in a twin setup is good for 4k rpm thus far without choking up.

you wont anywhere near needing the gate or larger housing on stock fuel and up to that rpm (beyond that, you need to worry about valve float)

The 5 blade holds the record on Marks dyno AFAIK. You use him for tuning, what does he recommend? He spec’d my setup and I couldn’t be happier. Everything just works well.

He said there’s so many options and configurations that it’s all what I want. But he did say to run an 80mm-88mm with my 65mm

I definitely wouldn't go any bigger than an 80 on your setup from the standpoint of you don't need it. You're already in engine killing territory with compounds.
