youre way over thinking this. you are very fuel limited and at this point, rpm limited (you give no hints at building something that will see rpm or beyond stock engine at this point). the split you are thinking about isnt something you are going to feel/see. your small turbo has a greater affect on this. the 1.32 would work just fine as well, ive driven both but for what you have, the 1.15 is better suited though.

I don’t plan on ever building the engine unless it blows up some how or once I need a new one, due to mileage. Which won’t be for a very long time. I appreciate the feedback. :thumb:

If forced inductions offers it. I think I might go with the a/r of 1.25. Something in between 1.15 and 1.32. Maybe best of both worlds with down low spool up and up top. Or is my thinking off?

Just like James said, get a S480/96/1.15 T6. Its proven awesome on a daily driven truck with an upgraded valley charger and can be had relatively cheap for a quality unit from many companies.

Forced inductions is pricing their Billet S480 with 1.15 model, with a V4 compressor for $1499. What is a v4 compressor housing?

I would be looking into injectors before compounds unless you are just looking to lower egts. That 65 is probably cleaning up pretty much all the fuel you have available.

From what I've read, is that the lml injectors are good for around 700ish give or take. I have a 10mm cp3, which again its supposedly good for 800+. So I think I am good on fuel unless I really want to push it, which I am not looking to do. I had mark tune my truck to be safe on both motor and trans. The 65 is rated at 650hp. All I am looking to do is to lower egts, fun daily driver, and tow every once in a while.

sadly this is a very "green" statement and heres why,


the suggestion of injectors was made NOT so you throw more fuel at the stock engine but to reduce the pulse width you will/would be using to get "700hp". This will keep your stock engine "safer" than it is now or will be down the road when you try to push it to that upper hp number.

your pistons are the weak point, id be trying to keep them alive. pulse width is more of an issue now that you have the 65 over top.

You can make around 700 depending on variables but it’s no where near a efficient 700 hp. The problem is at a point it doesn’t matter how much the run the pulse it doesn’t make more power. One thing is does do is cause injector failure on the piezo injectors. You will be much happier with a set of 60 overs that has that pop you would expect out if 700 hp vs the flat feel you are going to have with stock injectors at that power. Throw a compound on it and your expectations will be even greater for the pulling feel that’s going to fall short of what you will expect out if it. The difference in the extra fuel will be like spinning your tires a little bit or frying them through three gears. That’s truly the feeling difference there will be.

I’m about maxing out my stock injectors at 2050uS. Stock turbo and high flow kit I have zero haze. Truck cleans all the fuel up. I won’t be doing anything besides a trans till I can do injectors and turbo.

They run great, alittle laggier with the 68 then the stock charger but no complaints. I don't tow with the truck. The 68 is billet, I bought it here from another member. The 480 has a cast wheel with a race cover. I thought about buying a billet wheel but when this motor goes I'll prob step up to a 483 or 485.

They clean up real nice on the top. They are smokey on the bottom, I have learned to drive around it. If you start rolling into it up a hill with the converter locked it will start smoking like a train.

How does it pull on the highway/freeway? one of my concerns even with the stock turbo was that it didn't spool fast enough for me to get around people in situations where I needed it. Without a trailer. I had a gas truck before this and the throttle response was right there, once I got a diesel I had to get use to the turbo lag.

A diesel won't have the same throttle response as a gasser, especially with a larger turbo.

I'm running S475 over stock with 60S, respond on fuel is very impressive with Danville tuning. I'm running 4.10 diff too, that help
