Well the time is finally nearing when I'm able to sell my other dmax to pay for my motor build along with compounds. With all my mods listed below, with the exception of stepping up to 100% overs, oval chamber pistons, mild cam, and a few other things, I wanna know what charger would go well with the aurora 5000 as that being the primary charger. It spooled damn fast when it was running so I figured it would be nice to add another one lol. So what charger do you all think would go nicely with it?

you mean you want to use the 5000 as a secondary? The low pressure charger is the primary. What kind of power are you looking for? Pretty sure the a5k is a 72mm inducer compressor, I think a 88 or 91mm in front of it would be a fun setup.

The a5k for the small charger, I would love to have a max power of the 1000hp mark, but be able to also drive it around on my lower settings when I want. And have good spool up, powel how does your setup run?

5k is a 71 or 71.5 I believe. The 94mm Aurora would be a great choice I think.

same thing lol, use "72" loosely because most of the 72's are really 71.something anyways.

1000 on fue or spray? Planning to gate the secondary?

Maybe spray I'm not sure about that yet, wanting to really stay fuel only, and this is all the info I'm looking for as far as gating the secondary I've read on smaller compound setups but haven't found hardly any info on a bigger compound setup

I was starting to consider that, but also if I'm gonna do this and I don't hit the 1000hp mark I'll be upset lol I don't wanna do it and fall short by a few hp that'll haunt me

Chaves that worked with Trent Nell did in the neighborhood of 1050 with a 71 over a 4718. I pretty sure that was the setup.

So which exhaust housing would be more ideal?

Shear power the 1.23. In what I hear about DD concerns the 1.08 would probably work better for you Give Josh which goes by 02bigstrokin on here a shout. He has used that charger in both formats. When I spoke to him in the past I thought he like the smaller housing better.

I never planned on takin the truck this far but when the motor popped I figured I might as well come back out with a whole new setup but still have a hell of a street/strip truck. I was also curious about if I'll have to wastegate it or what not, and also all I need to put a kit together, and how well it'll perform with a 88,91, or 94

You should waste gate the top charger as a minimum. I believe with my triple setup I should have done a blow off for the atmospheres.

I ran a 4718 with both the 1.08 and 1.23 housings, for a street truck the 1.08 was way better. More fun to drive, quicker spool up, and towed better. I had it paired with a 66 though.

That's what I'm lookin for is some good fast spool up, im just trying to get all my stuff lined up on what's best I've tried contacting other people but most of the time I can't seem to get any help so that get frustrating. Also what's best to go with t4,t6 ect.
