Is the cheetah a good turbo for a LLY or should we get rid of the VVT and do a HTT 66 71? GT4094? please know that we are at 5200ft elevation and running alot of fuel on this LLY. Tony at ridge runner did the tuning on it. He is a lil over 500hp and will be happy with 600hp to the wheels. Yes, he already has a tranny. What do you guys think?

I know somone who has a 4094 for sale...:D

I think the Cheetah will do a better job for you at that elevation, Mike's 4094 was laggy here at 2200'.

What about the HTT? Will the cheetah limit his HP? With HTT and i know they will keep upgrading the turbo for low cost with a one day turn around.

The Cheetah will be the best choice in my opinion, and they are making the 72mm version for bigger power guys. You should be good to well into the 600 range with a 70 mm Cheetah. Any fixed vane turbo big enough to make power is going to be laggy at the bottom end, imo. What about twins, best of both worlds?

Na, he doesnt want twins. Just a good all around single more for racing and daily driving. He doesnt tow much.

so killer i remember reading some of the other post that you had made but i dont remember reading a solution. i was going to have a custome intake made but what ideas do you have

The LLY intake is properly designed for a Jetta 1.9 TDI.

I am seeing a 1.5 mpg improvement from the addition of the new intake plumbing. The original prototype kit has seen about 10 tanks of fuel, and I have saved over $125 in fuel so far.

Power increases are similar, with the reduction in parasitic activity.

That $100 in fuel is otherwise going to the creation of heat in the compressor, and higher EGT.

Which side of the intake are you talking about? The last discussion I recall seeing from you was on the section from the airbox to the turbo, and replacing the turbo inlet with an LBZ inlet or modified inlet.

so is the suggestion to change over to the lbz turbo inlet or have a custome one built. also i noticed the two inlets that are on the side of the inlet. i would go look at my truck but i dont have it right know so what are these for and are they needed
