The truck is killer no doubt but I have a quick question if someone could clarify for me. To do this conversion will the 3500 parts rear end suspension etc... just bolt up to a 2500HD? I only ask cause I have a 2001 2500HD (gasser) and Im considering doing this, Ive checked and double checked both of my trucks the 3500 and the 2500 trucks and it looks like it would be a direct bolt on.

I was planning on redoing the 2500HD for my daughter in a year before she gets her license and think it would be a cool 1st truck for her.

the springs are different and thats it. You dont even need to replace the springs if you arent going to be putting 4,500lbs in the bed. The axle is a little wider on a dually but otherwise basically the same.

The 2500's and 3500's are 98% the same truck; I know that makes the 3500 guys bummed out/confused because they think their crap is so much more heavy duty and rugged than us little 2500 guys. :D :p:

x23 Nutz have to go, nice truck. If its custom bed work nice. The only thing I'd like to see is a super single on the back. GM didn't make 2500/3500 shortys for a few years?

only on the GMT-400 platform (c/k body style) for the last few years of production.

they never made any GMT-800 short bed dually's.
