So i see dmax store sells one, is anyone else running a single piece setup? by dmaxstore or their own custom one?

my carrier bearing never really gives me fits but u-joints arent far down the road for me to replace again and figured i may as well get rid of a joint and carrier while im at it if its possible. long ago, i remember reading these trucks were just too long to get a single in there. maybe things have changed?

So the lml cc/lb has a one piece shaft?? I was at the dealer a week ago....wandered their lot looking for one to crawl under but all they had was extra cab and cc/sb trucks. I'd be curious about this as well.

My driveshaft maker for the puller(used to be a cclb) said it wasnt possible unless its like 7" in diameter because of the critical speed. Not sure on terminology but i think i'm remembering right.

The carrier bearing support needs to be removed, the driveline would be to long for 2x4 long bed crew cab and extended cab trucks, the 4x4 models is just right...


Driveshaft: PN 23251132 $422.10

Pinion yolk kit: PN 19257639 $127.50 This part comes with a new seal, washer, and nut so no need to order the pinion seal separately.

Retainer: PN 23170499 $7.78 NEED 2 this is the u joint strap.

Retainer bolt: PN 11548472 NEED 4 these are your strap bolts. You can use the old ones but I chose to get new.
I also chose to replace the transfer case output seal, this is a pricey one and you may or may not want to do it.

Seal: PN 12478093 $62.04

Total: $637.78
Tax: $38.27
Grand total: $676.04

No, still 1450s in mine. Never had issues with them but I buy spicer none greasable for the increase in strength and my axle wrap bars keep things from eating them selves up. I have no issue upgrading though lol

That's what I was always told and read.

That shaft is just an OEM lml shaft if I'm not mistaken. Don't think you'd ever have an issue with it.

I have a friend that did this drivline and updated to the 1480 U joints. He likes it's a lot. 56taskforce is his screen name.

I just want one less joint and no carrier bearing assuming it can hold up to the power and towing

You will like the single piece. Will have less vibration and smooth out the power transfer. No issues with this set up.. will hold a lot of power and handle a lot of abuse, even on lifted trucks

Bringing this back up. Any issues doing this with a raised truck?
