Chris you need to buy a single cab, that's what I did and it fixed the problem :D

I thought you did the Flintstone thingy anyway? :D

When I first started reading this thread I wondered if the original OP just had supermodel runway legs? Then I seen others had the same issue so diss-regard! I was going to recommend squats to build up leg muscles! :D

on my dakota, I was pushing through the brakes as well. I know you guys won't like this, ut on the last brake change, I went to the softest, dustiest, "crappiest" brake pads that O'R sells. Problem solved and my truck tries to fling me out the window on a panic stop if the don't lock up. Yes my front wheels are 9 kinds of black, but they hold the truck and it stops great.

is it a pulse or is the brake pedal just kicking back at you? the brake kicking back once indicates more of a hydroboost issue.

ive never known a bad wheel speed sensor is cause weak holding back of the truck like ben stated. most ive seen is them causing a pull when braking at 15-20mph and slower (not below the 5mph threash hold though). just cause you have a new hydroboost and pump doesnt mean they are working 100%. my pump is starting to whine on my truck and i noticed some decreased braking while pulling my trailer back home yesterday.

James, It doesn't kick back at you. It feels like there's zero brakes for a second. The pedal goes limp & the truck will roll forward another 5 feet before stopping completely. This happens every time I come to a stop.

Did you ever figure this out Chris?

Nope. Still does it. I did notice that when staging its best to stand on the throttle and then back off as it comes up on boost. But it still starts to creep forward at 10 psi. The charger lights really quick, so I don't think its a stall issue. Maybe tuning could be the culprit????:confused::confused:

That sounds more like a pump issue

Wouldnt the correct converter stall for the application being used work out better for getting on the chargers vs. trying to push thru the brakes with too low of stall?

I seen a post or two mentioning the 1058 converter possibly...Thats a 2300 stall and would suspect much different maybe if you had a 1057? I have a 1058 myself and i can get to 20psi easy I have a 3794 stage 2 charger

My cousin has the same TC with a tct 472 & 100s. Itll go to 25 psi in about 4 sec. Brake pedal stays hard as a rock. There is some other issue. I shouldnt be able to push the pedal to the floor while staging. Maybe this "new" pump is junk?.

Sounds like my LLY, took 3 pumps a steering box and a cooler to get it right. My LMM did that for 3 days after a flush cooler and new pump. After 3 days and a hard hard run it was fine, air somewhere I guess.

UPDATE:

ABS light came on two days ago and the brakes started working like they should. No more weird pedal when stopping and its almost impossible to push it to the floor. I can hold it back up to 20psi. It actually blows the tires off now in 4hi!

My thoughts are its a wheel sensor/hub going bad. How do I figure out what corner it is?

I had an lly that had a very similar issue. It was almost like the abs was coming on right before you came to a stop. Ended up being the wheel speed sensor and I swapped it out and didn't have an issue since. The only issue is I believe they only sell them as a whole wheel hub assembly.

I pulled them all out and scuffed and coated them at that time so I wouldn't have further issues.
