It smokes at wot. I know my truck with the smaller charger is very much fuel starved, it is essentially smokeless, and under full boost it is smoke free all the way down the track.

Ok guys, let me fill you in on that turbo. What you have there is an open non-divided stainless steel 1.0a/r custom 3" vband inlet with an 87mm turbine. That is designed for big flow and you don't have it so it has no drive pressure. You need to drop back to the 83mm turbine in one of those housings or go back to a conventional t4 divided 1.0 housing. I'm not a fan of the ,90 housing on a dmax and I use the 87mm turbines religiously. I have't been brave enough to try that combo you have because how much it flows. I build 96mm versions of it for Bullseye for the big gassers and they run them parallel twins!

Well Ryan at least now we know. Without you sending those pics of the setup we may have never found this out. Huge thanks to mark for chiming in here. Ryan if I were you id buy a 472 or 475 with a standard T4 housing and let that truck eat. You might be able to sell that big charger to some of the guys here who run huge fuel.

So I can run the 87 mm if I go to the different housing? Can I just do a housing swap or is there more to it?

The charger you have there is something that will flow well over 1,000+hp and keep drive pressure at or less than 1.1 all the way up to 5,000rpms in a 6.6L fwiw.
