Can't get truck to run after bigger turbo.

I just put a s475 batmo on the truck to run as a single. Now when I go to drive the truck it is drivable. But trying to brake boost it it will not rev more then 1600 to 1700 rpm and is really smokey. Nnow when driving it no matter what tune it is in If I punch it, it will smoke alot and does not try to lite the turbo tell after 2,000 rpms. Any Ideas on whats going on?

Who tuned it? Do you have any log files? That would be the first thing to do is log your runs so everyone or your tuner could see exactly what is going on..... If you need help setting up your v2 for logging give me a shout and I will remote in to your laptop and set it up for you.:D

From his other thread. I would say the 1.0 ar is one of the main problems.

Specs are bulls eye s475 batmo wheel, 75 mm bep race cover v band, 1.00 ar t-4, 87 mm turbine.

1.0 ar on a street truck with stock fuel? Its going to be very laggy, which it is already proving to be. Tuning im sure could clean it up and help it out, but i dont think it will ever be that "super streetable s475" that you always hear about.

I have some data logs trying to brake boost and some wot logs I can post if people want to look, It had Idaho rob tunes but he didn't want to help so Steve at ssdiesel has been trying to help me but he is stumped on it to why it won't work out. Every one is saying that the 1.0 ar will slow me down but I should still be able to push it better then I am. It won't lite tell after 2,000 rpm's and only have seen 25 psi out of it.

Here is the nutshell.

It has been pressure tested, and under full throttle he only sees 25psi max, even on a very large tune. It is still smoking black at wot.

There is no MAF limiting whatsoever.

I asked him to snap some pics of the setup so I could see if anything stood out, and what was odd to me was the turbine housing. Ive never seen one like it. It looks like two aluminum compressor housings attached to the cartridge.

Truck gets full fuel when trying to boost launch.

If it was due to the 1.0, I could see it possibly not being able to brake boost, but under normal driving you should be able to get that spooled up.

I know paint runs a 1.0 or even a 1.1 on his stock stick LLY.

Since the boost side has been pressure tested, the only other thing I can think to recommend is to install a drive pressure gauge and see if he is losing drive somewhere. :confused:
