What is the best way to set caltracs when first installing? I have heard to jack up the rear till suspension is all the way out the snug the bars. That eay they will load up when lowering.

nooo.... install, drop truck, then tighten until spring stop bolt touches upper spring and then preload it with an additional full turn.

(with you sitting in truck adjust both sides.) :thumb:

I leave mine on the lowest hole, and with the nitto 420s tires and 20s I was cutting 1.72/1.73 all last night. Still a lot of room for improvement too.

Yeah trent did I don't know where it is. Trent said using his chassie software to put.it.in the top hole bacuse it brings the pivot point of the truck toward the rear wich in turn keeps the frount.end planted. I have tryed both there's not a big difference but it did help

do higher HP applications require the use of traction bars?

i dont have a built motor and i 60ft at 1.64 w/o caltracs (clamps) and could only get 1.68 with them. (bottom hole)
